Two things.

Firstly, I just sat down and did an hour's work in an actual hour. Not six hours like it would normally take me. Given my productivity lately, that's an epic win.

Secondly, a local bird rescue charity has approved us for rehoming a parrot. I've always wanted to live with a parrot. We're waiting to hear about a lovely african grey who needs a home.

Thinking about my deceased Granddad, a real life war hero, who dived out of a tank entrance door after a grenade was thrown in there by an enemy combatant. Both of his friends died & he was the only one who escaped as he made it to the door first out of reflex more than anything. He felt guilty that he blocked the paths of his freedom fighting war allies, who exploded into human chunks.

He had combat PTSD and died at a relatively early age of a heart attack.

He smoked 60 cigarettes per day, so it isn't a wonder, really.
