Rainbow on the drive home.

In town the tabebuia trees are in full bloom.

I use bird netting to try to keep out the possums.

Mowed the lawn today, the first mow of the year. It now looks wonderful and it makes me happy when I see it.

Bit by a black widow spider three days ago, and survived.

Really . . . two fang marks on my arm, a little swelling and itching, more sleepy than usual that night.  That is all!

The Latrodectus spiders aren't too much of a bother unless you get a decent dose from a large one, but even then it won't put you down. I was hit by a Redback late last year, as was my mother. It actually worsened my mental illness stuff for a few days (the venom affects multiple neurotransmitters), with not much swelling at the site, whereas she got a heap of swelling and some pain. Itching and localized sweating. It amused me at the time that it affected me more because I'm far larger and 20 something years younger.

Not much made me happy today. :| I guess it was one of those dark mood days, which happen.

I have something I could actually put in this thread, lol.

I have great eyelashes. I just noticed that even by my standards, my eyelashes are, right now, poppin'.

Here's another thing I can put here.

What I need more than anything is friendship, the kind where I can hang out or call or commiserate on anything at all. I've had that in my life so I know what it feels like. I ain't got it now. I haven't had it in years.

But I do have a few people who have really stepped up to the plate, in my hour of need, to be super supportive and helpful. From a distance. Only on occasion. For conversation only when we have something to discuss. But super helpful and totally there for me when we do have something to discuss or work on. More mentor than pal. To them I am really grateful.
