i do not like diana ross (much (i kind of liked "my old piano" however)), but this song was not written by her. she only performed it. i am forced to think about myself in a subjective way when i listen to the words of this song.

the melody is very good (i have learned to play it because i liked it so much).

listen to the piano track in this song. it is brilliant in my opinion.
the visual component of this clip is of minor importance to me.
it is a truly beautiful song.

unfortunately, the poster of this video saturated many portions of his sound file which renders them distorted, and you can only dial the volume back whilst the very loud distorted bits are happening in order for them not to be distorted to a grotesque degree.

very rarely do "song lines/lyrics" capture my imagination.

this piece of instrumental music is very representative of how i felt today when i accompanied tammy to "brookvale" mall. there was a "sale bonanza" there today (as she described it), and there was also subsidiary "entertainment" that was "extremely exciting" according to her (circus acts etc).
she begged me to take her, and i did (because she could not have got there any other way) , and i tried to get into the "flow" of what she was having fun about, but i was always out of sync, and not tuned in to the "common frequency".

i tried hard to see the fun that she was having, but i only could glimpse questionable elements of it.

this song hilariously represents my mindset of trying to be optimistic during a subconsciously pessimistic downwind today in a musical form.

(it is by frank zappa and it is written to "showcase" his "holiday" in berlin )
