Photoshop is awful with smoothing selections. I ended up with a practically low-resolution profile (note the lack of steep/sharp curves anywhere) even though the original shadow was actually quite good. I might have someone else take the picture of the profile if I decide to change it.

They do take a lot of practice and patience to get used to using. PS is actually pretty good for that once you learn all the right tricks.

Amateur! :P

We shall use the WPedia for this demonstration:

WikiPedia wrote:
"The main criteria for professional include the following:
1. Expert and specialized knowledge in field which one is practicing professionally.
2. Excellent manual/practical and literary skills in relation to profession.
3. High quality work in (examples): creations, products, services, presentations, consultancy, primary/other research, administrative, marketing, photography or other work endeavours.
4. A high standard of professional ethics, behaviour and work activities while carrying out one's profession (as an employee, self-employed person, career, enterprise, business, company, or partnership/associate/colleague, etc.). The professional owes a higher duty to a client, often a privilege of confidentiality, as well as a duty not to abandon the client just because he or she may not be able to pay or remunerate the professional. Often the professional is required to put the interest of the client ahead of his own interests.
5. Reasonable work morale and motivation. Having interest and desire to do a job well as holding positive attitude towards the profession are important elements in attaining a high level of professionalism.
6. a. Participating for gain or livelihood in an activity or field of endeavour often engaged in by amateurs
b : having a particular profession as a permanent career
c : engaged in by persons receiving financial return
7. Appropriate treatment of relationships with colleagues. Consideration should be shown to elderly, junior or inexperienced colleagues, as well as those with special needs. An example must be set to perpetuate the attitude of one's business without doing it harm.
8. A professional is an expert who is master in a specific field."

1. NEGATIVE - I only know the shortcuts and the essential concepts behind the functions.
2. NEGATIVE - I don't publish actual work on PS except for these specialized cases where I know even less of the GIMP.
3. NEGATIVE - What I create can hardly be treated as high-quality work.
4. NEGATIVE - All the work done so far has been for myself and I have no clients but my Ego.
5. NEGATIVE - The (slapping the misconfigured TV) criticism given does not demonstrate morale or motivation
6. a. PLAUSIBLE - Amateurs probably use PS for their own purposes as well.
b. NEGATIVE - I would never be able to make PS a special interest. It could be involved with a current special interest but it would not be exclusive.
c. NEGATIVE - I do my pictures for free, unless I want to pay myself any amount of money, which still doesn't count.
7. NEGATIVE - What colleagues?
8. NEGATIVE - Not even adept

Uhh.... your diagnosis is faulty! :P

And you din't [sic] bother to even bring in ANY outside source! Not even the WPedia! Let's hear the boooooos!

[I know I posted somewhere about how the Wikipedia is only good for finding plausibly relevant sources without using Scholar. If only I could find when I said that.]
