the thinking part of your brain can help that.

The thinking part of my brain doesn't work when I feel feelings.

I'm sorry Image it took me decades to get my brain to learn how to manage my feelings better. Strattera helped for a while until my cheapskate health insurance stopped covering it. so I had to find other non-drug means to do what it did.

Which non-drug methods do you use?

Or maybe what I need is drugs.

your mileage may vary as your system is not my system. nevertheless, I can say that at least for me Strattera gave me the magic combo of calm AND alert. these days, a decade+ out from being able to use Strattera, a 3-way combo of vigorous daily exercise, mental hygiene [eschewing automatic negative thoughts with extreme prejudice] and avoiding refined carbs [IOW "anything white"] gives me the same results. it is my considered belief that based on other folks having similar results to me, that it COULD work for you as well. some hope is there.
