I'm glad my grandma and my uncle don't visit as much as they used to.

Whenever they visit, I feel uncomfortable around them and I don't know why.

We're all a bunch of wackos. No seriously - it's true. Every last one has had some psychiatric attention at one time or another. It's a wonder I turned out as well as I did.

A lot of my cousins died before the age of 60.

There is an almost hereditary tendency for factions of my family, on my mother's side, to vehemently estrange and ostracize the others -- it's been going on for at least the last three generations! The family is riddled with multiple stories of horrible abandonments where people never spoke to each other again. It happened to my grandmother, several uncles did it to each other, and then my siblings followed suit with their own chapter of it. It's like a family trait to just turn against each other and go to the grave never fixing it.

I have a cousin who is in the army. One evening I randomly ran into him while at the grocery store and we were both pretty happy because we haven't seen each in so long. But he had grown a long, skinny mustache, I think it was was like fu manchu whiskers, but shorter. It looked like the mustaches you see on cartoon villains. I jokingly told him not to go tying little old ladies to railroad tracks.

Almost everybody in my extended family is adopted.

My two step-nieces are very picky eaters. My brother once told me they had a lot of packets for the cheese sauce for Kraft Dinner because they will only eat the macaroni plain. So I said, "Then why not just by a big bag of plain macaroni?" Not too long ago one of the girls decided to be a vegetarian, but her mother said to be one she needed to eat vegetables.

My nephew also only eats a very limited number of things, possibly die to autism. He also really loves Montreal steak spice.

My cousins are junkies and welfare hustlers. They're actually the reason why I quit being a liberal. I hope I get custody of their kids when they f**k up big and get caught, but that won't happen.
