I used less than half of my Christmas money on things for myself this year, so I'm going to use the remainder to buy late Christmas presents for my family members:

- A DVD box set of The Three Stooges for my dad. My first choice was going to be a box set of The Rifleman, my dad's favorite Western show, but apparently no such thing exists. Thankfully my dad is easy to please and will be equally as happy with The Three Stooges, since that's another favorite show of his.

- Johnny Cash's autobiography for my brother, because Johnny's been his hero and favorite singer since he was in elementary school (he's a senior in high school now).

- And the most extravagant gift: a necklace from the Open Hearts Collection by Jane Seymour for my mom. I'm going to get the one with custom engraving and a birthstone in it (hers, obviously).

This year has gone rather quickly, and unlike last year, I'm not banging my head waiting for it to be over.

I've had a much better year this year than I did last year. :)

Mapping out a plan of action to get my package from the post office tomorrow. I really have to get it tomorrow, 'cause I need to get its contents and wrap them before Sunday. I have figured out where the post office is and how to get there, but alas, there is no parking there. So I need to figure out somewhere I can park and then figure out how to walk to the post office from there and back without getting lost. This would be so much easier if they would've just delivered my package to me

Update: Mom's gift took up more money than I had anticipated (shipping gets me every time!), so I couldn't afford to buy Dad and Brother's gifts. :( Well, I still have a $20 bill, so I'm going to stick that in my brother's Christmas card so that he can buy whatever he wants. Today Mom came home with a watch for Dad and said it could be from all of us, so she's got that covered.

How I've been racing around for the past 2 weeks and now I'm here at my parents place and I don't have any racing around to do. A woman that I volunteer with was giving me a massage and she told me that I need to learn to relax. What if I'm already relaxing?

I'm thinking about whether I should continue to go to college after next summer, and on how I can visualize the rise of Hitler and Stalin happening before my eyes by placing the events on the streets I live on, thus giving it new context. And what I'll be getting after I get gift cards for Christmas (maybe another book by Buckminster Fuller). And how I really need to get started on something over winter vacation. And wondering what would happen if the Nazis had won.(Was reading a book on the 20th century earlier.)
