I've been thinking about the differences between the West and rationality and logic and the east with the spiritual, magic and ghosts. And the corollary of generosity and compassion.

Happy Easter everyone.

I'm thinking about how lonely my mother must be. She's living alone and widowed in her 80s, and she's unable to use her arms because she needs shoulder replacements. She can barely even dress herself or comb her hair. She doesn't have any technology or a computer and can't do a "video chat" or anything for Easter. She's just sitting there alone self-isolating only ten minutes from me, but I'm on quarantine so I can't see her or share a meal.

It makes me sad that other people will break quarantine to visit loved ones today, when we've been told to stay home.

It makes me sad that other people think a video Easter is sad -- but my family can't even have that.

We have no Easter at all.

I miss my dad and all the traditions associated with Easter in my childhood.

I miss that everything is different, but most of all I feel badly for my mother all alone and physically disabled.

That is a lot for her to bear with. Not having even video chat.. not good. Virtual Hugs for you both

I've finally found a the best habit and status tracking system for myself that actually sticks.
It turns out it doesn't involve checklists, plain listing or rows of symbols for a main point. :skull:

Because it also turns out that my 'ideal' system for tracking myself involves 24-hr tracking (because I'm 'sensitive') and visual-spatial based that emphasizes more on the spatial part than anything.

That is good. I want to do the same and I already have them in the fridge...but I have too much boredom being stuck at home to stick to only healthy food.

can't eat too much junk food if you only buy enough for an occasional treat.

Okay so I was being dramatic when I checked my grade and noticed I didn't pass my Practice.

On the Practice's group chat, I noticed that other students also failed the practice and were left confused.
I then noticed that on the feedback side, I did pass my practice. Out of confusion, I decided to email my professor and as it turned out, it was just a mistake and I did pass!

So that's a big relief as I will get my credits after all!

It may be a bit selfish and trivial, but I really hope all this quarantine stuff is done by June (and that my health issues are resolved by then) because I have come to the conclusion that I do want to try the concert badly enough to pay for tickets and a hotel room, and also because I want to go to summer camp in late June. I confess I'm obsessing over this a bit.

Iron infusions scheduled for this Thursday and next Thursday. Apparently they're going to be 4 hours each 8O And also quite expensive, I really hope I don't continue to need them. I'm going to bring my phone and a book (and my stuffed tiger shark Lilia as a "comfort object" since it's too long for my service dog not to get bored and start misbehaving), but still, gosh-dang, am I going to be bored.

Apparently my brother has a low-grade (as in, not even to 100 degrees Fahrenheit) fever and there's a chance that if that doesn't clear up, they might not let me in the building on Thursday since I live in the same house as him :( I really hope it's just a random thing his body decided to do (my body does that sometimes for no apparent reason) or at least not IT, both for his sake and mine.
