I feel sad because the actor who played Travis #1 in Blake's 7 died at Christmas, it was announced today. He was called Stephen Greif, he was a great actor and apparently a lovely man who really cared for his co-stars and fans. RIP Stephen

That many autistic persons don't have adequate resources and supports for their daily lives.

that poootin is still in the picture, and that one whole major political party here supports him.

I agree with you. I assume you are in America but there is a political party in the UK too who supports Poo-tin. And they are our government.

i guess conservatives in general will support authoritarians of their own stripe, birds of a feather and all that.

Ironically, a lot of Conservative MP's promote small government/devolved government/libertarianism/ultra capitalism.

Not exactly in line with their supporters who like strongman, government oligarchs such as Putin.

Aunt Blabby- It is strange because isn't Russia meant to be the sworn enemy of America? Although I think a lot of bribes are involved, at least in Britain they are, so probably in America too.

Blitzkreig- that is a paradox indeed, I'm not sure how Conservative supporters come to terms with that difference. They must be masters of fooling themselves, there's a word for it but I can't remember it right now!

Self deception is a thing, though I have a feeling it is perhaps not the words you are looking for.

That's a good word, but no! It's COGNITIVE DISSONANCE that I meant! I finally remembered it.

"Cognitive dissonance is a mental conflict that occurs when your beliefs don’t line up with your actions. It’s an uncomfortable state of mind when someone has contradictory values, attitudes, or perspectives about the same thing."
