Actually something occurred to me..when people think they are of the same background in ethnicity as you, or similar, they might find it easier to be rude (if they have a tendency to be) to you since it is less formal.

Like how siblings are content to be mean to each other and take it all as part of the relationship, but to outsiders they will be nicer.

Left 2 comments on the stupid divisive spin media puts on things and ppl take it as such.
You wear masksto protect yourself and others BUT you also have to realize there are those who cannot due to health or other issues..and you are simultaneously protecting them but the onus is not on the..and they cannot stay home 24/7 endlessly because of 10000 things that can happen

Theres still room.for compassion and basic courtesy but ppl are morons. Especially NTs.

Re: mandatory face masks I said (posting here because its on my mind)

There are special needs children who will never comply no matter how hard you try. If you cant get a babysitter due to concerns about covid19 and are a single parent inevitably you will have to bring them places.

I havent done it so far by having siblings who live an hour or more from me come just to babysit thsm so I can do essential tasks like renew card in person

(new photo was required and online was not accepted in this case) etc.

But i know my siblings cant keep doing this forever

Also
People live in a fantasy world if they think our kids don't exist or are going to wear them for 1 sec

when they dont even do things like keep their clothes on.

I do the whole protocol but I know my kids cant

and Ive ordered masks designed for kids hoping the colours or better fit/comfort will entice them but nothing works.

My elder does not even eat by mouth since birth due to sensory aversion hed rather starve hence g tube.
I can never see the mask happening with him

Always feel inadequate + intimidated by studying
Feel it is hopeless
Feel depressed that this is stuff people around me got to do, and more
etc
Feel sad that my brain is so tricky to deal with, gets burnt out from things others can do easily and still manage much more every day..

Hope I plough through the nonsensical thoughts and deal with the legitimate feelings effectively

very jealous of all educated people esp if they were autistic and somehow did it.
feels impossible and superhuman to do it with ASD.. insurmountable..
a small and hidden part of me doubts (strongly) that they have it at all- when i hear their achievements--even if it's petty to do so.

if they have social lives etc then even more so..

:skull: << what envy leads to

I could've sworn.
There was this rather gifted Russian female psychologist in the late 1800s to early 1900s.

She was much ahead of her time -- ahead enough to distinguish the difference between autism from schizophrenia.
In which two conditions may or may not be under a different name.

I feel kind of cheated by my autism. The only good thing I got from it was the stereotypical Aspie memory, but I lost that a little before the end of high school. So I really just have the neutral and negative things. I suspect perhaps all the good stuff was saved for my brother (who doesn’t have a diagnosis since he never had any autistic traits that caused him problems, I got stuck with all of those  ). One could argue that I still have special interests I enjoy, but they’re all things like Pokémon (and I have exactly zero programming skill, or desire to program) and specific movies (again zero skills or interest in anything related to that field) - what good is it going to do me that I can talk all day about The Void, which isn’t even a popular or often-mentioned movie (most of my interests are in things that lean toward (or fall in) the obscure side, so it doesn’t even make for a conversation topic (assuming I could control myself well enough for it to actually be a conversation instead of a monologue) with most people. Really all they do for me is cause problems because I get caught up in them and forget about everything else.

I had my own troubles with rigidity.

Rigidity is an excellent focus and memory preservation factor, but hard on navigation.
I tend to compensate with relations or find whatever equivalent X is with Y in context to another topic.
Or something outright abstract and lateral.

Yet there are some form of rigidity I cannot afford having even at home. For the sake of my mental health, I cannot demand routine and order.
Not well with the very world I'm living. And never with a shared space.

My head's running of caffeine, but my body feels lax... :skull:

I feel most people would be reasonable about children who may be difficult to keep a mask on, the real point is if you can put a mask on than just do it. Then people who legit cannot wear a mask are still safer because you aren't getting your droplets on them. Though of course the trouble is damn karen's claiming medical problems when people with disability passes getting on the bus still wear their masks. I have a disability pass because of major depression issues, chronic anxiety and PTSD and i wear a mask so what is their mental health excuse?

But nah if your child cannot even eat by mouth and needs a tube or whatever, I certainly think it would be reasonable he should not have to wear one. But freaking karen walking and breathing just fine can certainly wear a mask(at least inside the store) to help protect your child who cannot wear a mask.

Sorry for going off-topic, but my mom’s name is Karen, so I get confused for a moment when people refer to “Karens” as a certain type of person (which my mom certainly is not - she is very much pro-mask, for the record).

NTs need to quit infantalising Greta. OK she's not a full grown up my age but she's 17. A young adult. They talk about her like she's 11.
