Tomorrow I apparently get to feel like I’m being prepared for mummification starting with removal of my brain. But at least I’ll (in all likelihood) be able to say that I for sure don’t have COVID-19 whenever the results of the test are back, and will therefore be cleared for my surgical biopsy on Thursday.

Good luck fr today!! I haven't been on WP for a while so unsure what the biopsy will be for but I'm assuming you have a start on the

answer for the ongoing issues you had experienced and it's part of the solution/explanation (biopsy) so that's good to read

Hi, I’ve been happy to see you around a little for the past few days :) They’re going to be taking part of one of my lymph nodes for testing. I probably have some form of lymphoma, but we can’t say one hundred percent for sure without a biopsy to prove it, and it will also tell exactly what subset of lymphoma I have (assuming I really do have some sort of it) so we can determine the best course of action.

Brave dragon. I'm sorry if I ever downplayed your alarming symptoms by advising mild things like juices at times.

I hope you have lots of pleasant distractions to help the time till Thursday's appointment go by faster.

And then waiting for the results and next steps. So much patience is demanded ...

My elder has some random lumps that look like lymphoma lumps to me... Not cyst type.. Though he has that too in one hand that grew that they said is harmless.

. They developed within the past 2 years..

No, you’ve never seemed dismissive or like you’re downplaying things at all to me, no worries :) I really hope your son’s lumps are benign, lymphoma is one of the least scary kinds of cancer, but it’s still cancer and you still typically need to get chemotherapy for it, which is no fun, I’m sure. My lumps were first dismissed as benign swollen lymph nodes, coincidentally about two years ago. I only got worried when I realized that they’d definitely grown in size since then. I’d say probably don’t fret about it unless the lumps get noticeably larger, though it would be a good idea to mention it the next time he sees a doctor to make sure they agree that it’s nothing to worry about and just keep an eye on it for now, I am by no means an expert.

My dog Merlin had to go to the vet today. The good news is, he doesn’t have an ear infection. The bad news is, what he does have is sores in his ear from his grooming on Saturday when they removed the hair from inside his ears (either by plucking (exactly what it sounds like, just pulling the hair out) or by using some sort of chemical that makes the hair dissolve, so either Merlin was pulling away enough/in such a manner that he ended up with sores in his ears from the plucking, or he had a reaction to whatever they used in his ears that resulted in this)). So now we have to call the groomer tomorrow and let them know this happened so they’ll know either to be extra careful plucking his ears in the future or not to use a certain product on him again, and we have drops with mild antibiotic/anti-fungal stuff in them to put in his ears to try to make sure nothing in there does get infected, no follow-up vet visit required unless we deem it necessary.

A shift in the winds. :o

It's really cold this afternoon. Fell asleep with full on lunch. And a bit slowed.

I kind of wonder if I’ll ever find anywhere that I fit in or belong... but I don’t wonder too much because I know that there’s about a 99.999999999% chance the answer is no.

Well my son's nurse and I were just talking about extremist movements for a few days now..

although many got money+ weapons from same 'sources' that include the same countries claiming to be against them, who legit call it 'the great game' and see it all as part of a lovely political game) and i think it's not anger so much as uneducation + injustice + instability + no other option + brainwashing. that might lead to anger but the anger itself is a reaction - the roots are elsewhere.
(which would be further divided into categories: poverty/war = instability, drug addiction = instability, etc)
money and brute force reigns still despite anything we hoped the world would be by this point. also extremism can then be absorbed as they become powerful enough to render no other challenge to their authority. fascism. some are accepted but nobody says anything, some people can still safely speak out about if they don't live there. safe example would be the egyptian army and Sisi who by force subdued and massacred jailed tortured en masse, ppl of the Muslim brotherhood in egypt including the ELECTED ruler --
and anyone who filmed/photographed them (as reporters) were also killed, maimed, imprisoned, or had their lives in danger if they managed to escape the aforementioned. similar to syria or nazi germany or fascist italy, you can be reported by spies who could be in your own family. then the judicial system for the mockery of trials, the way things were extended, treatment denied, etc. that will all lead to anger - but to what purpose? so it becomes accepted as the alternative is that bad- or people just shut off their brains and hope against hope that one day there will be justice.

another example is kashmir which has been far worse for far longer, and accepted by the world.

so i guess what i mean to say is, there are situations where 'escapism' like music as u say, or art, or dance, etc is the only peaceful option - and maybe that escapism can become part of the solution, one day. hopefully. ( like capoeira)

I didn't know what to say in response to this but I've read it a few times today. :nerdy:

HAHA ...ohh to be a clear writer...!

it's more courteous to be clear, structured, and edit before pressing submit.

i think tirades like that might actually constitute blatant rudeness because ...it's not that difficult to write clearly.

It's 2020 and there's people who think if you're right of Edmund Burke then you count as 'left wing'.

Surely they must know that's just a gotcha? Why don't they just admit they're right wing traditionalists when it comes to 'American values'?

Even in this country, most monarchists argue more about the tourism the royals are meant to bring in than natural right to rule/need to be led. Very few people still think like they did centuries ago.

It was plenty clear, just profound. Sometimes someone says something well enough all that's needed is a nod of agreement.

Also, if that's you in your avatar you're as gorgeous physically as you are in spirit.

Read that Egypt is putting charges against some woman for promoting debauchery online via videos...

Self righteous anger to make themselves feel SOMEthing is happening because govt is a scourge and hypocrites love blaming ppl for things that are so low on the list of supposed offences compared to whay they themselves do or allow or are too weak or disempowered, chained by system, or lazy to fight back against.

I think they're making it all about masks now & not discouraging us from going out for trivial reasons because that shifts the blame to autistic people & some disabled people. They couldn't handle it as NTs staying home and being called selfish for wanting to do stupid stuff like go shopping/pubs/parties.

I had a shopping spree yesterday.

But I'm not selfish.

So I did it on my mum's iPad. Stuff comes today.

I had a birthday party in May. But I'm not selfish. So I did it via zoom.

What to say to a DD case worker who specializes in helping people on the spectrum find work.
