This place is increasingly more annoying than twitter.

In order to fall for propaganda, one must avoid taking a (Cockney accent) propa ganda...

Lately, I have been waking up feeling refreshed and energetic, but by noon I am tired, cranky and wearing down. Even if I can keep going, my brain does not work very well. I can even feel the really yukky stuff like I am worthless, etc., etc. This is actually a big improvement. It used to be even mornings were a slog, with occasional good days.

Neil Buchannan and Banksy might be the same person.

I mean he denied it.

But Banksy would deny his identity so...

The many, many, many people online expressing outrage, desperation, deep loneliness due to the Coronavirus lockdown;
NOW they know, really know, how some of us have lived for years.
I have lived here for 3 years, never had a visitor into my home.
Rare, maybe 1 or 2 a week phone calls to say ‘Hi’.
My only regular, dependable daily conversations are;
Bus driver, store clerk, co-workers.
For many people, the isolation is emotional misery they cannot stand.
What is that saying about walking in another person’s shoes?

I'm going to start writing a semi-autobiographical short story and I'm thinking of ideas.

It’s amazing how much hair one can lose and not have it be very visible (well, unless you’re looking at the hair that is no longer on your head, at least... and at least for me. And I do consider myself lucky that I’m losing it fairly evenly instead of in clumps, in which case it would be more obvious).

I have decided to try to socialise a bit more, even if it's just on the Internet for now. Reading my medical history and the repeated instructions from my doctors to not withdraw socially has me slightly motivated for now.

If I wanted to argue the basics of Irish history on Twitter then I would have an account that wasn't padlocked. Having a padlocked account is meant to help keep controversial topics uncontroversial.

But apparently not if Edouard scores more than Morelos & Duffy is more dishy than Kent :roll:

Not enough to make me want to see us be bad again, but enough to make me hate glory hunters.

Corrie... fine lines...

I agree that Geoff was an abuser.

But I don't know where the line is anymore.

All I can think is the 'this is abuse' line is when over 50% of the negative treatment comes from one partner.

And a relationship shouldn't be engaged in when over 50% of it is negative, even if it is back and forth. Doesn't make it abuse but it's not right to stick together if you just argue all the time.

When I was young, the line was just 'never raise your hand to your partner'.

My mum denies my dad ever did that. But he was always yelling at her and breaking her things. And I think I saw him one time raising a knife to her although she denied it and she denied it long after she broke up with him, when I was an adult.

My dad was like Geoff. My dad had/has mental health problems. Unlike Geoff, he didn't plan it all out he 'just' snapped. Didn't plan it out but got proper nasty. Acted like an aggressive drunk would, except he was sober.

I don't think I've ever known a couple who've been together longer than six months where neither of them ever insulted the other or shouted at the other. Even in real life - let alone on a soap.

Relationships don't work like that. I wish they did but I've never seen a couple irl always nice to each other. Never been in a relationship like that either. If I had been then maybe I'd still date.

Geoff did things which are clearly abusive too though like forcing Yasmin up to bed when she didn't want to go (which is coded, before the watershed) or forcing her in a box which I think of as physical abuse esp at her age (could've given her a heart attack or broken a bone).
