lol, mother couldn't hear that,
when we came to visit with the littles, when going to bed she'd turn on the dishwasher, next to our bedroom, holy s**t,
telling her about the disturbance and noise, that didn't compute

talking and hearing seem to be located in different people
the wiring of talking is disabling the hearing nerves
and vice-versa :jester:

It's also my problem with anyone I've met apparently.

I am trying so very hard to think of reasons why prohibition was a bad thing and the only thing I can think of is 'people didn't abide by it'.

Country's full of idiotic drunks who can't just take a break during a pandemic.

If you genuinely can't stay sober or buy alcohol online/at the shop to drink at home, go to an AA meeting or similar. Cos that's a sign you have a problem with a drug.

Idiots are making me want to either break the rules on here (where they're not) or cause a fight and lose left wing credentials on twitter. (Sorry but they sound like complete chavs)

Just get a hobby or interest.

Don't obsess over being around others.

Don't obsess over booze. If that's hard, get recovery treatment cos you're an addict.

BTW chances of my family losing their income and chances of my family = the exact same. I suspect it's the same for most educated people. The only way we'll lose cash is if mum dies or stepdad dies. At that moment we won't be thinking about £££.

My cousin's fiance has been thrown in at the deep end with all these cases though. He didn't train to be a Covid dr in his first year.

I'm so done thinking about kids who are trying to be edgy and young people who are trying to be edgy.

Not saying the internet should be age divided but honestly if someone hasn't lived as much life as me then they'll be going through similar phases I was at that age. And I'm not parental enough to guide them out of that.

Saying something doesn't make it true, but now it makes it super-true.

Kind of like lying about some science you're totally illiterate towards & possibly dying to prove a point about leadership because you totally meant to do that, you sly devil of an undercover secret agent secretly fixing everything for everyone who's smart enough to see it.

I don't see how this could possibly not have been the plan all along, really, when someone always wins we should take their word for it being God's will even if they're a self-proclaimed atheist right?

Good thing we have a secret agent doing secret missions of great secret importance against the super-secret deep state secretly, or else what might happen?

A time when someone shown me an autism sensory overload/simulator...

They thought it's scary, they thought the char on 1st person's reaction would be appropriate, and the world seem like a scary place.

Well, yeah.
The chaos is what I deal everyday. But that's not all of it; it only shows the visual and auditory bits of sensory overload.
A few could get beyond that, such as effects of partial shutting down and overwhelm, which I can relate as well.

Except...
First person char, may be a 5 year old, maybe a teenager, maybe ones who yet to gain different coping skills.
Likely also dealing with comorbidities.
Many would assume it's scary; some would agree, some would say it's alright.

I don't. And I'm not, even if I'm as vulnerable.
For every overwhelm, I had to pierce chaotic and confusing veils.
For every shutdowns, I had to decipher what no longer made sense.
For every meltdown, I had to ground myself from scattering further.
Coping skills or no, it's still work.

I had a meltdown yesterday for the first time in years and it was cos I didn't do my routine properly, first thing took me 5 hours so it was 5 hours before I could get dressed then I dropped some paints before breakfast which was after when my lunch normally is.

And in my subconscious mind which isn't rational, when inanimate misbehave during my meltdowns, they turn human. So I shout at them.

I hate the dad in this...

Dob. Womaniser. Arrogant. Gets everything he wants in underhanded ways. Takes a woman from her husband who loves her. Beats her up on their honeymoon. Keeps beating her up. Doesn't like it when the kids are different to him. Keeps cheating on her. Tempts her away with gifts but never buys her anything after that. Pushes his nephew and stepdaughter into marrying each other.

Nasty piece of work.

There is almost always a song on my mind.
This one has been playing for a few hours on repeat, and I am perfectly okay with that.
Hope it brightens you day :D

On people having a hard time with study modules and deadlines.

.. Had I've been a student, by, say, age 5-7, I'd fail big time. No adequate guides, not even my parents then AND now.

By age 8-12, I'd struggle even if I got the job better than other students. But at least I found my learning style.

Around age 13-16, that's when I only start understanding half the lessons.
Yet this is also the times when I actually start having real semblance of language comprehension.

Then by age 17-20, I may actually have a chance of self learning with said modules because that's when I realized I process words differently.

I think it's silly to assume trans men don't have an inside knowledge of how women get treated just cos we're men.

We're men within a transphobic society.

Esp pre transition, trans men get treated by sexists in the same way that women get treated. Sexism and transphobia are linked and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who is sexist but isn't transphobic and welcomes all trans guys into the 'bro club'.
