those sprockets
-- from those seeds
this spiral shooting
--from that rainfall-
What does a turning earth
--say to it's axis?
How should a melon say thanks

I do believe I just heard a Killdeer flying around and calling, at 2:52am. I have never seen one in this neighborhood.

It's not the astronomical first day of summer, but it's Memorial Day weekend in the US, which marks the customary end of the school year and the beginning of the summer vacation season. The birds have almost all finished their migrations and have chosen their nesting territories. High school and college graduations are coming to an end. If you have any last signs of spring you can post them here, and then pack things away until next year.

The flowers are in full bloom and there is pollen everywhere.

The French Open is in full swing and Rafael Nadal has begun his campaign for La Decima successfully.

Everything is so beautiful and green and the birds are happy.

It is warm enough for me to swim in the pool.

There was a thunderstorm last night, with lightning.

This area beneath the wall in my garden was virtually empty in March, no leaves or greenery at all. The main plant is alchemilla, with a few welsh poppies.

Time to swim in the river.Wouldnt exactly call the water warm.Family coming in around a week from now,we are taking huge floaties down there and spend the day on the water.

Everything in the fields seems to have been ramped up several notches with a concealed remote control, it's always a spectacular experience to roam through the meadows and beneath the canopies when spring has truly spawned seemingly right at the moment you plunge on through.
