The origin of the word "nerd." Wonder what it is.

I remember the first time I heard it (didn't know how it was spelled), I thought it was a merging of "Nimrod" and "turd." 1973?

Is there a way to tell people I need time to myself...like a couple weeks, that wont make me seem like a jerk. I mean I would not be totally alone probably at my friends house and he gives me my space and kind of understands some of what I go through so I don't mind that...I just cant seem to deal with the stress of trying to make time for everyone when I need to figure out what to do for work, and just kind of think about things.

that is on my mind.

I was just thinking about if St. Patrick's day was as big of a deal as Christmas and there were trees, gifts and carols to go along with it.

Geeky guy meets girl on dating site.

She's kinda geeky like him
Shares similar interests
Relates a lot to him to experience and mental wise
She's better looking than average (*inflates own head with air pump*)
She's genuinely interested in getting to know him
She's not an uneducated single mum
She's pretty much the most compatible girl he's ever gonna meet on a site like that

"I'll know what I'll do!", he says. "I'll completely f**k things up for myself and treat her like insignificant crap!"

Way to go, mate /sarcastic thumbs up.

I just had one of these moments again that I have had quite frequently for a while now...

Well, I also had some sort of... paranoid moment on the train today, but I was thinking of something else...

What exactly makes you... so passionate about something, even if you know that you have no one to talk to about it? Or is it exactly the reason why you do it? Because no one else cares?

I see many people on the web (=Tumblr ) discussing Thomas Newman and saying how brilliant he is, etc. But no one... No one talks about more. Also, some people who I have tried to "convert" (more like getting on their nerves about the guy and his music) don't seem to be able to see past the fact that he is composing music for films. It REALLY amuses me.

I think a lot of people see film directors that way as well. As if they were nothing but their job. As if it was simply their role in society. As if you could objectively perceive their... talent.

So, um, this is among the things that have been on my mind lately.

I'm thinking I feel fairly accomplished today :). I went through my closet again, and weeded out more stuff to get rid of... and I think I'm at the very peak of having got rid of everything I can without feeling I'm getting rid of special stuff :?. Once I can get the stuff out of my apartment, I think I've gotten down to about 15% of the total stuff I used to have :D. Which is good because I'm planning to learn to drive, and then move in a normal truck :|

Getting all of my non-kitchenware/cleaning-stuff down to 5 book boxes feels good... well, there will still be 3 guitars and 2 amps, and a few miscellaneous product boxes >_>... but it still feels good! :D

Now... I'm not sure what to do... so I'll be thinking on what to do :|

I don't want to ever get rid of this futon :?

I just realized it's the only thing I can crack my pelvis on... and when I can't crack it, the lowest part of my back aches like crazy :|

I'd rather live the life of a man than marry and have sex with a man.

Time and the lack of it.
