Gomer Pyle and Lisa Douglas would make the perfect couple.

I'm glad I never moved out in my 20s.

I finally feel 'old enough' to be having thoughts like 'when I live here full time, I'm going to put up a rotary washing line'.

Now fried eggs tastes like dry salted noodles.

I wonder what some non-financial, obvious tips are to living away from home for the first time?

My biggest fear is: what about floors? Right now I only vac one floor. How long does it take to clean a house?

Mum basically hinted it would be a good idea if I move out here this coming year or next year after that.

Cleaning times vary by at least an order of magnitude. Use your time at home to learn to clean the whole thing, and time yourself improving. The hints might just reverse direction.

I lost an appeal on behalf of a seriously disabled person. His mother is in tears. The tide has turned and my best is no longer enough to turn back those who care only about money. :(

Oh noo. You did what you can. You can't do more then you can.

I don't think I have ever won an appeal, and trying almost kills me.

I used to win, but the state has clamped down more and more. And this one did almost kill me. I used to be energized by these fights, but now I am just dead tired.

I never get "energized" by fights; maybe that's why I never found professional success....

Unfortunately, "fights" and such are part and parcel of a professional existence.

Getting energized by said stuff is like a potent fuel.
It'll make one hit and work harder, faster and enduring.

Yet this doesn't mean it makes one more accurate and in control.
It is mostly meaningless without control or adequate skill.

Yes, it can bring out the skills out of someone, provided if the potency of the drive can be tamed or in control of.

But it'll be held back by many factors like unreliability and dysregulation.
And lack of confidence because of said unreliability and overconfidence if dysregulation over unreliability is in play.
