The development of a spacefaring civilization using what we have now, just actually getting around to moving rather than forever sitting around hoping for FTL technology to be developed so as to aid the impatient in traveling the relatively short distances within the solar system.

My dad has a job now apparently, so maybe he'd be willing to loan me a bit of money till I can get my financial situation figured out more or less. But he could always say no, I let him borrow 500$ from me this past year which he paid me back so maybe he'd return the favor I hope so because that would help immensely.
