I just woke up and the tone has already been set in a nasty way.

Had a dream last night that I was talking to my late partner's ex. She was doing a music stream, and I went to her little studio, and she seemed shocked/offput that I showed up even though she had posted an open invite. Anyway, some other person showed up and asked why I was there/how we knew each other. I gave a very generic answer, because I didn't want to get into the whole, her ex-husband is my late partner story. She chided me for not being fully honest... I nearly started to cry and quietly asked her to stop. Then she asks me why I think I haven't felt him lately. I clearly didn't understand the question (like, why would I feel him? He didn't hang around. He wouldn't have hung around even if he could have, because he didn't believe in ghost phenomena), and she started to show me her step-by-step plan to win him back, heavily implying that his presence has been with her.

All I could do was apologize for intruding on her time and left, afraid that she was telling the truth.

On waking, though, and further examination of the finer content of the dream... she wasn't streaming anything he actually listened to, so how truthful could she have been.

Still. I feel pretty low at the moment.

Sorry you had such an unsettling dream. I hope you're able to get past the feelings it stirred.

After my dad died I either saw a ghost, or dreamed of a ghost. I'm sure I was awake but who knows. A punk-rock girl with pink hair appeared at the foot of my bed and said "Why don't you believe in ghosts?", which was weird because I do. She gestured toward the head of my bed where there was a huge violet orb floating just behind my head. There are similar orbs in his funeral photos.

Anxiety about my first official shift tomorrow.

Well, I tested positive for covid today. It was crazy, I was feeling fine yesterday, then by evening my throat was a little sore, then within an hour my temp was around 101 and still rising, plus my throat was swelling shut. Today I'm feeling better, my fever is sitting just under 100, and other than my throat hurting (and being a bit sluggish) I feel otherwise alright. I doubt I would have thought to test myself had my daughter not tested positive a few weeks ago without any serious signs or symptoms... not that I was around her or anything, just paranoid since she had that happen and there has been a surge lately. I think the best bet is I got it from my grandson who got sick here last friday. Our symptoms aren't the same, but that doesn't mean much. This is the second time I can confirm having covid, though I do believe I had it earlier but that was before you could get tests at home, so I can't say for sure. My big concern at this point is that I have long covid already (not debilitating or anything, just frustrating) from the previous time I had this. I hope getting it this time won't make all that stuff worse. Meh.

Whether it was a dream or not, the connection between the photos and that moment is pretty neat.

I have an encounter story which led me to believe I was absolutely nuts, until I had someone else verify the details of the entity I saw, without me even discussing it with them beforehand. I've got my own theories on all that. But... yeah, I don't think he would have been an Eligible Ghostie since he very firmly did not believe in the possibility. We choose our own heavens and hells, etc etc.

My bedroom is hotter than Satan's a**hole.

Emotional overeating

The weather being warm & humid for the umpteenth day in a row.

We are supposed to get thunder storms today.

I don't know why my housemate leaves dirty dish water in the sink, but by morning it stinks. But if I disturb it, it stinks even more. But this morning I had to dump it, and when I did it triggered my gag reflex.

I'm not completely alone, but I feel a bit lonely.
