The real happiness that I felt as I was putting my remote controlled candles on my tree. It feels like Christmas for me now.

Does anyone want an aluminium tree? I bought it 10 years ago. I never thought I'd see something I would like more, until I saw candle lit German Christmas trees on YouTube.

Thanks for the advice.

Similar thing on my mind now: should I read a book I know I will disagree with going in?
If you were my girlfriend I would tell you not to because she gets upset easily & would rant about it to me for an hour straight. She's a very sensitive person which is great in some ways but that is one of the negatives. I'm the type that keeps things bottled up till things become too much & I have a meltdown. I'd like to think that I'm a lot better about that than I used to be thou. Being able to talk to her when she's a better mood & being on this forum are a huge help to me.

I'm wondering about Christmas day & what if anything we will do. I know my parents won't be doing anything. My extended family like my aunts & uncles do things with their kids, my cousins & their kids. My mom likes some stuff about Christmas but me & dad were never really into it as adults. Cass likes some stuff about it too & I think her & my mom would have a bit of fun if they would of been able to spend the holidays together. This virus & life stuff going on with Cass & her family really sux. Hopefully things would be a lot better for everyone next year.

Twitter is full of anti vegans.

I want to moan about preparing a feast where one third of the people coming are vegan without it being an anti-vegan moan.

Basically it's a 'loads of people are vegan now, if you can't make your manufactured snack foods/party foods taste better for having animal products in them, the least you can do is change the recipe to make it vegan!' rant.

This is my favourite version of We Need a Little Christmas for obvious reasons:

It is Christmas eve, and the neighbours are making snowmobile racket. I didn't feel like walking around to see the lights even though it is really warm this year. Someone in a big pickup truck went roaring and fishtailing right up Main St. I went to my first Christmas gathering in over a decade, because it was on Zoom this year, and came away feeling like I didn't really belong in the group much now.

While the rest of my family is watching the new Wonder Woman movie tomorrow, I’ll probably be off in a separate room playing Dead Space

At the same time as I laugh about it, it does kind of drive home the point that I don’t fit in even with my family. I don’t think there’s a place in the world or a group in existence where I actually would fit in.

I'm going to get roasted because I cross-posted by mistake and a scrooge is going to report me. I can just feel it now.

If you met one autistic person, you met one autistic person.

If you met one NT, you met all the NTs of their social class, age group, culture, gender & era.

They're like little tribes.
