^Actually I think it has a simpler meaning.

If you enter a restroom in a dream-what's to stop you from "going to the bathroom" (if you know what I mean) in real life while asleep?

So that's why your unconscious produced a wolf to detain you for a moment until you woke up - to keep you from soiling your bedding.

Dear aunt blabby,

The wolf (which was dark grey / black by the way) didn?t actually damage my arm ?it just gave me the impression it wanted to.
There is certainly alot going on that's affecting the quality of my life but is [also] totally out of my control - which, needless to say, I don?t like one little bit.
As for going to the loo, that had nothing to do with needing to go in real life :shameonyou:
?so someone owes you a refund :compress:

sorry to have caused offense, it was not intended. dreammoods is a free service, they interpret dreams for you. that is where I do mine and others. dreams are funny things, our subconscious' way of making bottled and bubbling over things conscious. some say they are akin to seeing patterns in a puddle in the rain. in any case mysterious moods buried under waking consciousness influence what patterns we see in that dreaming rain puddle.

had the strangest nightmares, one after the other, and one repeating itself. dreamt I was homeless with wrong planet member ASS-P again, this time we were cooped up in an old newspaper delivery box [where the district distributor would drop the paper bundles so the paperboys could pick them up and deliver them. it was covered and painted royal blue. the streets were full of thugs and such. I hid in the paperbox [like I had just been dropped in there] while ASS-P laughed at me and my timidity and told me to get off my ass and get out there with him, to not be such a wuss. then the nightmare segued into a warehouse where this employee with some health problem was just about to die, when i came up to him and offered him my life energy, and he gratefully accepted it, but before this happened, the dream segued into my parents' basement where I was with some people I'd never seen in waking life, we were exploring in there when this weird huge bug [the size of a silver dollar] with green torso, gray wings and a copper abdomen [resembled wound wire around a core like an electronic coil] dive bombed me repeatedly, then tried to escape through an open window which I shut just in time [much to the appreciation of the others who wanted to catch it and study it] then it turned around and flew away from us to the other side of the basement out of sight. wish I could remember what we were doing in that basement. anyways the bug dive bombed me again while the others just watched, got tangled in my hair, and I awoke in a fright.

novice dream decipherer that i am ...sounds like you know you're better off here than out there in 'big bad world' (but that could just be me transfering  ), and you fled to your parent's house coz you couldn't cope with your friend being [unusually?] insensitive ...but guess that's not such a safe place for you either. Don't know what the bug represented
...maybe people criticizing you [like you thought i was doing ...is that why you just remembered that dream? OMG / i am sorry :hail:
or maybe it was an extension of your tightly wound mind (at that point in your dream i mean, not now :!: )
or maybe you just felt overwhelmed by all the unpleasant things happening with familiar people / in familiar places, and the bug (which you would normally respect as much as any other living being) also turned on you, doing your head in coz your head was already done in.
I'd have woken up worried too :cyclops:

:D Image a worry about homelessness has dogged me my entire life. in at least one of my previous lifetimes I was a vagabond and a prisoner.

I dreamt I was getting a tattoo done on the inside of my wrist. It was a rose with wings. I didn't like it - it was really tacky - but I just watched passively as the guy etched this atrocity on my skin. I tell myself I'll just chop my arm off later and that'll fix the problem. I'm wondering if I should chop my arm off midway down my forearm or at the elbow joint and what tool would be best to use, when the guy asks me if I want him to call an ambulance. I tell him I can amputate my own arm, thank you. I don't need assistance.
He tells me I'm bleeding. I look and there's a big pool of black liquid under my arm. I say, "That's not blood, it's ink. Blood's not black."
We start to argue about whether it's blood or ink. He tells me he saw war movies when he was a kid and the blood was always black. I said they were probably black and white movies. The pool spreads so it's like we're sitting in a black hole. The table and chairs start sliding around the room like they're on wheels. I'm still holding out my arm even though the table has scooted off somewhere. The tattooist is still poised with his gun in the air. We're sliding past each other and each time he passes he adds another line to the tattoo so I have railway tracks up my arm to my shoulder. He starts on my chest and neck. I jump off the chair and land face down in the black goo. It's like tar and I'm trying to get up but it's clinging to my skin. I pull my arm out and in a clear moment see that it's pulled off the horrible rose tattoo. I'm still staring at my arm when I wake up.

Tattoo
To dream that you have tattoos represent your sense of individuality and the desire to stand out in a crowd. You want to be unique and different from everybody else, particularly if you do not have any tattoos in real life. Consider also what the tattoo is and what significance it has in your life. It may represent something that has left a lasting impression on you. Alternatively, to dream that you have a tattoo suggests that a waking situation or decision is having a much longer lasting effect that you had expected.
Ink
To see ink in your dream represents creativity. You are adopting a new way of looking at things.
Wrist
To notice your wrist in your dream represents your ability to combine fun and excitement with productivity at the same time. You are able to grab the attention of others and get them involved.
Wings
To dream that you have wings suggest new found freedom. You are on the right track and are soaring to success without limitations. Alternatively, the dream means that you are trying to escape from a difficult situation. To see the wings of birds in your dream indicates your desire for a freer way of life.
Roses
To see roses in your dream signify faithfulness in love and the coming of joy in some area of your life. Roses also symbolize love, passion, desire, femininity, unity, and romance, particularly if they are red roses. If you see a white rose, then it symbolizes virginity, pureness, and secrecy. It you see a yellow rose, then it refers to infidelity, jealousy, or friendship. If the rose is pink, then it means fresh love and new romance.
Amputation
To dream that your limbs are amputated signifies abandoned talents and serious, permanent losses. It indicates your feelings of frustration, powerlessness and helplessness. Sometimes amputation may also represent a situation that you have been ignoring and has finally reached a crisis point. In particular, to dream that your arms are amputated suggests that you lack motivation.
Arm
To see your arms as the emphasis in your dream indicate your nurturance side and your ability to reach out and care for people. Alternatively, it may represent the struggles and challenges in your life. Consider the phrase of "arming yourself" which implies that you need to protect yourself, be more aggressive and take a firmer stance on things or the pun "up in arms" representing anger and your readiness to argue. To dream that your arm has been injured signifies your inability to care for yourself or your helplessness in reaching out to others. You may have been feeling limited and restricted in terms of your freedom or activities. The right arm signifies your outgoing nature and is associated with masculine energy, while your left arm signifies your supportive or nurturing nature and is associated with feminine qualities. Losing either arm may suggest that you are failing to recognize its respective characteristics.

Yes to all of this. I was so resigned to chopping off my arm, like I was sick of everything and just wanted it to be gone.

Yes to this too. It was my left arm. I think I need to look after myself more in many ways.
The rose was black. Wonder what that means?
The wings could have meant wanting to escape. I often feel that way.
Thanks for that. Dreams are fascinating, aren't they?

i also enjoy laying in bed (well, couch) every night to see what story my crazy brain will produce. i am always surprised. :)

i don't remember much of my last dream, but i do recall one of the lockers from school, very small, square shaped things, and grabbing it by the vent and ripping the door off with ease.

what has not evaporated from my dream, was that I rode a bus back and forth from seattle, and encountered in Puyallup two versions of jay leno- as he is now, and as he was in 1990. they conversed with each other and with me. strange.

I was always given to understand that if you meet a future or past version of yourself it can be catastrophic. Well, Dr Emmett Brown said something like that. There didn't happen to be a smoking DeLorean nearby?
