I just vacuumed my stairs, something I've put off for too long as it is, but it's such a chore lugging my vacuum cleaner up and down them. Now I can return the vacuum to my bedroom to do the the carpet, which starts to get dirty about ten seconds after I've vacuumed it.

40 minutes of torture at the dentist's this afternoon, but she seems to have saved three back teeth that I thought might be beyond salvation. At almost £400, this didn't come cheap, lol.

I survived the annual Nightmare Before New Year's.

Next year I'll try to get the commemorative t-shirt.

I just received a design agreement email from NV Energy, regarding getting grid power at my "tiny house" here in the boonies of Northern Nevada.

I then spoke on the phone with one of my two next-door neighbors, and made an appointment to talk to them both in person, tomorrow, to get them to understand exactly what's going to happen about stringing the 13,200 Volt wires from the existing "end of the line" over to my property.

Some tree trimming and/or removal will almost certainly be necessary, so we'll discuss how to make that happen, since it's on me to get the trees cleared BEFORE NV Energy shows up to plant a new pole on my land, and string the wires across both of their lots.

Fortunately, my neighbors are both VERY capable and accomodating, so I'll likely be able to get their able assistance and cooperation in getting the trees out of the way.

Yesterday I fixed the sprinkler system. One of the connections kept on ejecting the hole whenever it turned on. It turned out I had to tighten the screw the squeezes the hose onto the connector so it can't come out. Next I had a look at another section of hose that was leaking. Whenever it turned on it would spray a 9 foot tall plume of water than would arc over the garden fence and onto the footpath. I didn't think the neighbors would appreciate this public pedestrain shower and it was taking away pressure from the rest of the system. I dug up the hose and found that it had a hole it that used to have a sprinkler in it. I looked around the garden for a spare sprinkler and tried to stick it in. It wouldn't fit. I made it fit.

The whole system was built by the previous owner of the house and to be honest I'm still getting used to this stuff. Growing up all we had to water the garden was a little orange circle that fit on the end of the garden hose.
