My mom died over 10 years ago, I wish she was alive still, she was a BETTER parent than my dad.

On reddit, a 15 year old in India trying to navigate gettting used to a 20 year old guy her parents arranged her marrige to getting to fondly with her.

LIke in the U.S she could get protection against this guy, but in India seems a good chance she will be forced to marry that guy even if she is not comfortable with it....so not U.S advice can work, because in U.S women in some states at least still have some rights. The girl even said she feels if she tries to fight it her family would kill her...just really sad because the only advice then is to tell her to play along till she finds a way out...but still even then the getting away could be dangerous for her if it went wrong for some reason.

And she is a 15 year old girl, she should not be expected to look after a 21 year old man......but in her country that is not seen as problematic even though she even says she is not ready to get comitted to a marrige with someone she doesn't even like and is alwas fondling her when it makes her uncomfortable. Well she does not live in the U.S where there is help she lives in india where it is a reality her family could kill her if she does not comply....so she feels trapped. LIke the best advice for her is to play along untill maybe she could find a way out...the person who suggested that realizes she could get killed if she just straight up rebells. But yeah idk it is f****d up that women in some countries litterally have no choice in their lives and they just have to go along with crap to not get killed.

I used to think because feminism seemed sort of successful in the U.S that it wasn't needed anymore, but tales of here still and the rest of the world make it seem like a lot more feminism is needed. In some places they still put women on their periods in dirty locked sheds....like you have to take care of yourself on your period not just be shoved in a dirt shed with no period products and lack of oxygen. LIke f**k if you look at how women are treated across the world it sucks but seems like the over-turning of roe vs. wade is childs play compared to some of that. LIke I cannot imagine being locked in a dark shed while on my period...its nice to be at home relaxing during that time than thrown into a deathtrap shed without enough windows or holes to provide breating air. Can you imagine each month your family locks you in a decrepid dirt house and if you die from neglect too bad, you shouldn't have gotten your period.

LIke just hard to deal with s**t, when so many peopele in the world think women are only valuble for the amount of children we have, when some of us us don't even want to do that, or care that much about kids. It's just she is only 15 and doesn't even want the marigge, yet there is probabyly no way out of it for her. I guess that is what conservatives want for here in the U.S.

They put us on a diesel generator because our power keeps going out in the high winds. So there was i feeling smug that we have power tonight even though its windy and the generator just ran out of diesel. No one is coming to fill that up tonight.

I feel so f*****g sick. It's gone from my upper respiratory tract down low into my lungs. I can't stop violently coughing.

neighbors' dogs had the nerve to jump over the fence. the neighbors' dogs have been in my backyard at least two previous times. the neighbors didn't even apologize. last time the dogs came into my backyard, i tattled to my sister (she owns the house) and she threatened to sell the house if i bother her again. cops don't care. there is literally nothing i can do about it. if i knock on their door, i am afraid the dogs might come out. the neighbors house has a sign that says "dangerous dogs". some dude was in the neighbors' backyard when the dogs jumped over. a couple minutes later, that ass hole had the nerve to say "Chinito, 'no,no, no' " on the phone. (I think that dude doesn't live in the house. he was just there to work on the house.)

i cannot just put out some poisoned dog food, because booby traps are illegal per Geneva Convention.

as usual, there is literally nothing i can do about it.

@shortfatbalduglyman you have dogs on your property that aren't yours you need to call animal control to remove them. There is hardly "nothing you can do" if the dogs are aggressive toward you (or anyone on your property) you can simply call 911

if and when animal control were to come, the dogs might already have left.

a couple minutes after the dogs came into my backyard, they appeared to have left (today).

if animal control or 911 or any authorities or professionals come over, and the dogs are not still there, they might file criminal charges against my worthless corpse for Prank Call.

500 miles away, 18 years ago, I went to a job interview for 911 Dispatcher. The proctor said that, there are four correct reasons to dial 911 and everything else is a Prank Call, subject to a (then) $500 fine.

Besides, even if 911 came over, and the dogs were still in my backyard, and 911 took my side, then what? For all i know, the neighbors might take out Whistleblower Retaliation against my worthless corpse. The neighbors might "punish" my worthless corpse, for tattling on them, by setting my house on fire or physically injuring my worthless corpse.

Then what?

Those ass holes don't care about anyone besides themselves!

I moved out 18 years ago and there's no way that I'm moving back in with my parents.
