family is supposed to be the backstop to a hard world, where they have to take you in when you have fallen down.Whenever I look for a job, my mom finds out and threatens me with a warrant for my arrest. On the other hand, my sister could care less if I find a job for me regardless of where it is.

if she hates you, it would seem to be in her best interest if she let you leave to get a job, why does she want you to stay home with her instead?

That I might find a place to work at that she may not approve of, but I'll work anywhere regardless of what my mom says about it. Just yesterday, I applied to work for the student newspaper, so I'm waiting for a reply from the student newspaper.

sounds like a power struggle between you and her. bummer. there has to be a way out of that.
