I think Ebec has a mother that has common sense.

I personally hate Facebook. I tried it for about 2 weeks but couldn't stand "The Wall", couldn't stand strangers asking me to be their friend and then not wanting to hurt their feelings by saying no...among other things.

For you students who wanted your teachers to be your friends on FB, I thought I'd tell you my perspective as a teacher. We have to have proper boundaries with our students for professional reasons. In general we do not socialize with our students, and FB would be an example of socializing.

I hate facebook, but I use it sometimes to send quick messages to people.

Actually, on one of those application things where you answer questions about each other and you can't tell who answered the question about you someone said they thought I was a sore loser and it made me sad that someone would insult me like that where I could read it without even letting me know who they were!

And a cowardly person let me know hurtful things through his Facebook status without saying it straight to me, even though I confronted him about it four times and he completely ignored me every time! And he dared to treat me as if he did nothing when I saw him in class!

Things such as text messages and Facebook have all but destroyed what little chance I have of becoming more social in the real world, even though I'm actually trying. Because they make the NTs not want to get together and hang out because they can just talk online/on the phone. And no one actually wants to talk on the phone where I can hear their voice because they can just text!

If you're going to say something, say it too my face people!
