this song always reminds me of the punk house i lived in. a bunch of us lived in a house, and we put locks on our bedroom doors, but left the front door open. the entire local punk scene hung out there, and local punk bands used our basement to record and practice. i was the only one with a cassette component on my stereo that did high-speed dubbing, so bands were always knocking on my bedroom door before shows to make tapes to sell. i got a free copy for the use of my tape deck ;)

Wow. That sounds pretty neat. I sometimes wish i could have those sort of experiences, but there's no way i'd be able to put up with people just hanging out and coming and going all the time 8O At least not for any significant amount of time, anyway.

it was ok. they'd often bring beer and weed - part of the reason my memory is so fragmented and foggy.

no, didn't know the adolescents. but i did hang out with anti-flag when they first started. their touring was limited to where they could reasonably drive to from erie, PA, since they were still in high school at the time. justin sane is a really smart guy.

Nice.
I'm kind of starting to doubt that i'll ever learn to "hang out" with people. Being high or drunk seems like it would just complicate matters, too 8O Again, why despite listening to Goth and Punk types of music and having an interest in the subcultures, i can't actually integrate into any related group. I can lecture people who don't know anything about it about the history of Goth Rock, though.

actually, it served to numb me to the point where i could tolerate human company. i tended to stay in my room most of the time, listening to music, even when there were parties at the punk house.

probably the only reason i hung out with justin sane was he had a deep interest in politics and philosophy, two of my obsessive topic interests. usually my conversiveness is limited to a max of 5 minutes before i either walk away or drift off into my own little world.

I like punk music ok, like the Ramones, the Misfits or Black Flag. Angelf**k is one of the best songs ever. My ears, navel and tongue are pierced, but I'm sure my tongue has closed since I took it out a few years ago. No tattoos.

I have 1 tattoo (left shoulder), and my wedding ring is a second one, if you count that as a tattoo. BIG Piercings: 3/4" (19mm) plugs, both nipples (6 ga), and others...

i cant stand people who go around labelling and grouping themselves and thinking theyre all unique and individual when in reality there a thousands of people just like them out there.

a few days ago i was waiting outside a station and there were 3teenage girls next to me. they criticised and mocked each person who went past (actually shouting directly at the people!) and then said amongst themselves that they would only shout nice things to 'people like us who are unique and cool'. what a bunch of dick brains. just makes me go argh. i was waiting for them to say something about me but they didnt. i even walked past twice whilst looking out for the person i was meeting to see if theyd say anything so i could shoot them a death look but nope.

anyway, this is probably the wrong place to rant as you're all happily talking away about punk music. soz:/

on a side note, i want to get my cheekbone pierced with one of those implant piercings. but my face isnt really pretty enough to pull it off:(

Clothing? Maybe alternative? My music is mostly classical/electronic. I have sort of a goofy sense of style when left to my own devices. My mom picked out all of my clothes until halfway through this last school year. I chose grey cargo shorts and grey converse with black laces over black tights..usually accompanied by whatever shirt I can find/boyfriend's large black jacket.
I unintentionally picked out trendy glasses  black rectangular frames.

Any reason I decorate my body have nothing to do with "trends", but about wanting to experience sensations for myself.
I have 4 small tattoos, all of which can be hidden. I used to have a pierced lip, but gave it up when I found I couldn't stop playing with it and I was afraid I'd ruin my teeth.

I love experimental, industrial, goth, old school punk, extreme metal, and lots of other underground music. I'm not content with the restrictions of mainstream record labels and such, though I'd be a liar if I said I don't like any popular music at all. I've been called a "goth", a "punk", etc. many times but I really don't align myself with any subculture. I'm just me, I like whatever I happen to like. :)
I love tattoos but don't have any so far. Have considered some for ages now but have never decided exactly what tattoos I want. I also love piercings but my skin is too irritable to tolerate them.

I have a tattoo across... well, I guess about 2/3rds of my back. I wouldn't really consider it a lifestyle thing though, especially not a goth/punk/alternative one. No piercings beyond my ears, which are unfortunately not really suitable for earrings (they fit, but they're extremely painful these days; I just can't tolerate them anymore, for whatever reason).

I went through a vaguely goth stage starting when I was about 14. I don't follow it at all anymore. There's nothing wrong with it, of course (indeed, I admire some of the fashions especially), but it's just not me.
