Also I always thought United Kingdom, UK meant ONLY England. So during the Olympics I see the UK flag, that person can be from Scotland, Northern Ireland or England? Great Britain considered England then? For example, I was looking at the Winter Olympics 2010 at Vancouver and didn't see Scotland at all. I saw Ireland and Great Britain. I never see Scotland in any Olympics.

Is Great Britain in Olympics means people from Scotland, Northern Ireland, England?
It's understandable there is some confusion because in the sporting world the UK/Great Britain is unique. In the Olympic Games and wherever the name Great Britain appears, the team is open to members from England,Scotland,Wales and Northern Ireland. The British flag is made up of the blue saltire of Scotland, the red cross of England and the red saltire of Ireland (nowadays I think those from Northern Ireland are usually welcome to choose whether they wish to compete for Britain or the republic of Ireland)
In many other sports however, notably football(soccer) and rugby the 4 nations that make up the United Kingdom (of Great Britain) & Northern Ireland all compete separately. That's why in the World Cup recently it was genuinely 'England' who played the USA,the other
British teams having failed to qualify for the final tournament. The English supporters quite rightly prefer to fly their own white and red flag rather than the UK one.Incidentally the 'Kingdom' in the UK refers to the once separate kingdoms of England and Scotland being united since the 17th century.
Regarding Lauriston,Keeno could probably tell you more but as far as I know it's just a small district, albeit a historic one, within Edinburgh city centre.Nothing in comparison to the size of the Bronx or Queens !
