I feel that it's a very nice gesture to give to a new mother. :)

You have to remember that her baby is NOT the first ever born. Its just another baby in long line of babies.

Births are so consistent that it kills any type of celebration. There is nothing there to celebrate or congratulate.

I hate babies, they disgust me and are loud. I also hate children, and I especially hate going to places where children like to go, but I normally love going to those places. Like the zoo, I like going to the zoo, but I hate that there are so many kids. Kids with less social skills and social sense than I do. I know better than to run up behind a complete stranger and try to shove them away. Kids do not seem to know this little bit of social knowledge. Of course I just push them back because I am bigger than they are.

Parents are the worst. I hate when parents try to parade their kid around as if it's the new messiah. It's a baby, good job, you didn't use a condom. Have a cigar.

I too don't care much for kids. They are so loud. Try listening to the pastor give the sermon and the stupid parents and their kids sit in front row. I avoid traveling during the summer time too due to so many kids.

Oh the worst is when I see balloons either pink or blue tied to a mailbox in my neighborhood saying "It's a Boy!" OR "It's a GIRL!" LIKE I CARE! Then there are the stupid parents that have those My child is a honor roll student.

I agree wholeheartedly. I have never been able to bring myself to congratulate someone for having a baby or getting pregnant/getting someone pregnant. If the people involved are happy about it and seem like they would make good parents, then I'm happy for them. But it's not exactly any great feat or accomplishment, unless they had to go to amazing lengths to accomplish the conception due to infertility issues or some such.

"Congratulations! You figured out how genitals work!"

Epic post. LOL.

I hate babies and small children. I refer to them as 'turd monkeys', for some reason.

I feel like saying sarcastically: "congratulations for your recent contribution to the overpopulation of the Earth". Yeah, I'm an a**hole 8)

Or maybe "Couldn't you afford a condom" or "Why didn't you pull out in time?"

Well, they aint gonna get any from me! All the time you see (and hear) spoiled little brats running around, whilst their mothers say weakly "Don't do that, darling." Hey, make it sound like a COMMAND, not a suggestion! Spare the rod and spoil the child.

And lately, in the moronic outer suburb where I live, I've seen more and more cars with those dreadful "My family" stickers on their back windows. What goes through my head is, There's nothing special about your family, you selfish imbeciles!

At least they make the token gesture of reprimanding the child. My sis and her husband actually encourage their kid to bother me. Like 'Go on, go hug Mech, she wants a hug!' when I have just told the kid to go away because he has food all over his face and I'd sooner dig my eyes out than hug him. Or allow him to follow me around non stop and actually call me back if I go for some alone time to get away from the little s**t. Luckily I don't have to see him often as he's in another country.

I hate kids, I f*****g hate em.

As someone who's had the unfortunate experience of babysitting infants and toddlers I have come to the conclusion that bringing one of these things into the world is not deserving of praise.

Every time I read or hear a story about a parent accidentally killing their child because it wouldn't stop crying I gently nod in recognition of the stress that broke their self-control. How humans managed to survive the early stages of our existence with those little monsters screaming half the freaking time they're awake is truly beyond me.

I know how you feel Lecks. I think I understand moms shaking their incorrigible babies to death. I probably would, too, if I had one (I shouldn't joke about that, I know).
