They quit doing super-size when I was a teen due to controversy. When people ordered; the McD's employees always asked if they wanted to super-size it & most people said Yes & critics thought that people were saying Yes without thinking about it. I never needed a drink that big but I liked getting bigger fries

I don't think they ask you anymore if you want it super sized. The McDonalds I have been to still did them. I can't remember the last time I was asked if I'd like it supersized. But then again I have not eaten there maybe since 2009. Maybe not all McDonalds have super sized meals or you have to ask for it to be supersized I bet.

One time during coffee break, after my morning shift cleaning parking lots at Wal-Mart, my litter crew went into the Wal-Mart McDonald's and I ordered myself a BLT bagel for breakfast. I was eating it and I had this funny taste in my mouth. It turned out that the bottom of the bottom half of the bagel was covered with mold. I've returned it to the cashier at the front and she offered me another one. I said, "No thank you."

It, and fast food in general, was the catalyst of the factory farming system.
McDonalds is one of the evilest corporations in a laundry list of evil corporate entities and I refuse to spend money there even for coffee.

I thought they quit doing super-size 10 years ago. None of the ones I've been to had em on the menu

I haven't eaten there in years due to being borderline vegan.

However the vaste differance just across the Tasmin is HUGE. The NZ macca's was really feral. The bun tasted sweet and the meat tasted really salty. It actually hurt my mouth to eat it. The burger and fries mostly went in the bin.

In australia, they use TIPTOP bun's, the same that they sell at the supermarket, 100% aussie beef from local abbitoirs (not even out of state), local lettuce and tomatoes. They did import the sauces and diced onions from the US but overall the quality was really high. Mind you this was a long time ago. I can only think standards have improved even from then. Oh yes and the Aussie burgers and breakfasts used free range eggs and the pancakes were made from scratch daily.

Wow, it must be hidious elsewhere.

I used to eat it as a child then became vegetarian in my teens. At 27 I broke up with my girlfriend and sleep a night in my car after fleeing the house I was living in (long story). Anyhow, In my delirium I bought a BigMac, Quarter Pounder & Chicken Burger and ate most of it. I think I've had Macca's a couple of times since (in the last 10 years) and always regretted it. I always feel ill after eating Maccas, Burger King etc. and have now resorted to starvation when nothing else is on offer. Fortunately there is usually an alternative.

I don't eat in there. If I have to eat at fast food restaurant, I choose another one. Why? In our country, for example, at McDonald's a small hamburger with few tiny cubes of veggies cost like CZK 40, while at most of other fast food outlets a regular-sized burger with lots of veggies is by half cheaper.
