I would care because it took a lot of time and effort to get to this point. I don't see it as competition, though. I just want there to be some record of what I have put into this forum.

I looked at the 95 in jmnixon95's username and thought, She can't have graduated a year after me. She's only fifteen. Then I realized the 95 is the year she was born because she's fifteen. I'm old. Now I'm going to get my shawl, put an afghan on my lap and watch my stories on the tv.

i haven't noticed mine lately. people who play forum games tend to get higher post counts, i think, and i play some occasionally. plus multipage arguments, and that increases my post count too. like a dog with a bone, i'd say... :oops:

i DID notice that i have already posted in 1000 threads as of one minute ago, so this thread is number 1001!

I think the games was actually one of the reasons I ended up with a ridiculously high amount of post counts.
The arguments was somehow in the past.

Yet when the mods delete a post or something, doesn't it like lower your post count?

Posts get deleted very, very rarely. We usually just move them out of the public forum and this won't affect your post count :)

I think I've had 16 post of mine deleted. When I view my profile my post count is 4231 but when I click Find All Post my number is 4215
