It's disingenuous in the extreme to call these parties 'fascist', because they're demonstrably not. They're populist parties, generally conservative and eurosceptic - basically they're led by people pissed off with the present deranged consensus, who want their own borders back.

I've experienced some similar stuff down here in Florida. My mom and I are both Spanish speakers and we've both been yelled at at least twice for speaking Spanish in public. Note though that these events occurred when I was younger. The people threatening us were elderly and pulled out the "THIS IS AMUHRRICA, SPEAK AMUHRRICAN!! !" excuse.

My family gets stares when we go into gas stations and stuff but I suppose it's because my family is as multiracial as it gets. I have an Asian brother, a black brother, my mom is Hispanic, and my dad is white. And then there are Aimee and Adrian who basically think of our family as their family because they were sort of disowned by their family. They are both foreign and tend to travel with us.

Yeah you can't blame people for looking at your family. I would too...but only in trying out to figure out how it happend? So your parents are 2 different races....but that doesnt explain how you have an Asian and a Black brother. I'm guessing you are their biological child and your brothers were adopted?

My family got a few curious looks growing up. My mom is Half German/Jew and Half Japanese and has blonde hair and blue eyes. My dad is Japanese-American...but in real life you often see the reverse commonly white man/asian women so when ppl see an Asian man with white woman and asian kids they are confused....and even more confused when I speak German and tell them im Jewish too (non practicing)....so I kinda know how you feel. I dont think its meant to be racist, its just curious people.

I would hate to imagine how this would have gone down if my girlfriend had come out with us that night. Shes white so I could see the bartender throwing nasty comments our way had she come.

Yeah, that's what it is. My two brothers are adopted. I'm multiracial as is my sister. My half-brother is fully white though as is my dad. Aimee is Vietnamese and Adrian is a Romanian Gypsy.
