THAT'S A FLUTE?!?!?! LOL Okay, well, then I really loooooove regular flutes! I didn't realize there were gigantic flutes taller than me out there. Haha

it reminds me a bit of hooting owls and night winds moaning through the trees.

The bass flute actually isn't too bad. It does not hurt my ears like those other extremely bass instruments do. Generally, I hate everything bass because it does hurt my ears even when I stop listening to it, but that one is kind of pretty (I especially like the second video!)

mission accomplished, i turned yet another person onto the bass side. 8) :dj:
among flutes [especially the bigger ones] the bass flute with b-foot, or the pinschophone [contralto flute] seem to occupy the sweetspot in between brilliance/harshness and amorphous booming. the bass flute is lyrical, haunting, it almost "talks." it sings like a contralto female.
