Poor Rarity, no one likes her.

That's not true. I really like her. I admit that I didn't think I would like her very much when I first became a brony, but she's really grown on me the more I have watched the show. The episodes I watched tonight - episodes 19 and 20 of season 1 - really helped to strengthen it.

Speaking of favorite ponies, I retract my earlier statement about Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie being my favorites, because I have actually come to love all of the Mane 6 equally throughout the time I have spent watching the show. They may have flaws, but deep down they are all nice ponies who truly care for one another. Each one is likable in her own special way.

I'm curious, but has anypony else bought merchandise from the show? I bought the Toys R Us Gift Pack of 12 "Blind Bag" ponies, as well as brushable versions of Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. I'm planning on buying more Blind Bags and brushables for Christmas this year. I even cleared shelf space for them! I also own a Pinkie Pie shirt that says "a cupcake is not a hat" and a shirt with a silhouette of Rainbow Dash that says "Brony" on it.

I have to find more merch I have only found a shirt at my local hot topic store that says brony on it. I might get it but prob only wear it to bed because I tend to wear plain shirts out. <3

I don't hate Rarity, its just no one selected her as their favorite on the poll. If I have to rate my ponies from most-to-least favorite she would be at the bottom though.

1. Fluttershy
2. Pinkie Pie (actually its mostly a tie, but I voted Fluttershy)
3. Twlight Sparkle (she's my avatar as I'm probably the most like her).
4. Rainbow Dash
5. Applejack
6. Rarity

That is mine.

No offense intended, but I thought my little pony was intended for audiences under the age of.. well, 5.

I'm shocked a bunch of 20-some are all posting :?

Well, obviously you haven't been keeping up with Internet phenomenon lately. If you had, you would realize that a lot of adults think that the new My Little Pony cartoon, Friendship is Magic, is actually a wonderful show that can be enjoyed by people of any age, not unlike Spongebob or Adventure Time. It doesn't insult viewers' intelligence and its characters are all quite lovable. In fact, it's arguable that the periphery demographic of 20-somethings who enjoy the show actually outnumber the target audience.

Oh God, I'm an 18 year old male who knows EXACTLY what every single one of these ponies looks like and what they have done in the show...also my vote was for Twilight Sparkle, gotta love me some nerdy types. (WHY IS THIS SHOW SO GOOD!?)

My cousin is almost 2 and she prefers dora the explorer.

I don't think it is really intended for 5 year olds to be honest.

Go on youtube and look at the statistics of all FiM videos. Most of the viewers are teenage males. Plus, I don't care if it's meant for 5 year olds. It doesn't come off that way to me anyway! :D
You see, most of us don't know why we like it so much, but we do. There's nothing wrong with liking a good cartoon! :D

Most of the stuff in the show would go way over a five year-olds head. To be honest I doubt I would have even bothered watching a single episode if I didn't have AS.

Same here. Glad I have it, and glad I have ponies. Makes life a little bit more interesting in this boring gray world :)

I enjoy watching kid shows. What's wrong with that? It makes me happy and isn't hurting anyone. :P

I do hop around like her sometimes, but only if I'm completely alone, which is hard in a family of 8. Sometimes I just do it with family around anyway. When I finished writing a story I've been working on for awhile, maybe around a month or two, I was jumping around like Twilight when she went YES! YES! YES!
