It will be the winter equinox.

It'll be a pretty normal day for me. I will probably be celebrating X-mas with my family in Mexico. We are not Maya, so I really don't care about the 14th baktun.

I think Dec 21 2012 is the day before Dec 22 2012.

The earth is 4.25 billion years old (approximately). There is no reason why it should not last another billion years.

Nothing will happen. Therefore, I'm going to do the same thing I do every Thursday. Steak night at my local casino buffet, followed by a night of internet videos and beer. Good times.

I think some extremely naive people will give their stuff away expecting the world to end & some people will walk off with a bunch of free stuff. I remmber a news story when I was in like 7th grade I think about a group of people in another country who belived that the world was going to end that night & they gave all their stuff away & the news watched them as the night came & changed to the next day & the world did not end

On the 21st December 2012...
I think that there will be widespread panic over Christmas Shopping and panic buying a lot more than last year.
Wasn't there an earthquake or a tsunami or anything on the 21st? Thought there might be an anniversary or something like that.

Hmm...
I think it'll be another normal day, with a bunch of people screaming about how they think time is coming close to an end or something.
Something tells me this isn't the first time people have predicted the end of the world, and I am still here.

Just to let you all know there has been a recent new discovery
Newly discovered Mayan calender goes way past 2012

Although a good amount of people will never find this information and I can't predict NTs reactions in normal situations. So my answer really is I don't know.
But I'm 99.9% sure there will be a 2013.

I think it will be another normal day. Why would a Mayan calander running out destroy a big planet and make every living being in the world die? What would we all die of? How would it destroy the planet Earth? And why would the Mayan calander run out on the first day of winter? Why not on the last day of 2012, or the first day of 2013, or on Chinese New Year or something? Why December 21? At 11:00am, is what I heard (or was it 12:00pm?)

And I'm sure if it was going to end all life (which I don't know how), then how come none of it is mentioned all over the telly or in the newspapers? How come there's no preparations? And why are they still having the olympics in the UK this year, if life is going to end at the end of this year? And why are the Torys still cutting back services and trying to save money? If they knew we were all going to die at the end of this year anyway, you would think they'll just say, ''oh, f**k it - just leave it all as it is, we've only got a few months left then we'll all be dead so what are we saving all this money for anyway?''

So many questions. Anyone who can answer these, please answer in English, not in all these difficult words because I'm not that bright so I don't understand what people mean when they gabble on using all these ''intelligent'' words.

I'll be asleep most of the day, or bored, or playing video games while I should be doing something productive. Other than that, I'll refresh several news sites every hour so I can see how embarrassed some of those conspiracy types are when their theories turn out to be wrong after they've prepared for the end for years.

Cause it ain't ever gonna happen. The people yelling about this apocalypse are not well informed. The corporate fat cats, however, certainly are.
