The people making the decisions often aren't the Engineers who should be making them.

The problem with Technology:

- 50 years ago it would take an hour to make supper and no one had a problem with that. Today, people will heat something in the microwave for two minutes, impatiently.

- 50 years ago, people would get one channel on TV, on a small black-and-white screen, and they'd watch whatever was on. Today, people get 100 channels and complain that there's nothing on TV.

:D

My computer suddenly told me one day 'This computer has no CD drive attached to it'
What ? I'm looking at the blasted thing and I've been using it for months.

Also, what did people do before mobile phones (cell phones in US) ? How could they live without being able to call a friend or relative to give them the urgent news 'That's me on the train now.
I bought a pair of shoes in town'

They wrote real letters with real pens, attached an appropriate level of significance to trivial crap, and actually learned how to spell without using txt spk ROTFLOL.

Good grief, we're doomed...

why is it that they are improving computors so fast that the second you get one there are already 5 kinds better than it?

I wonder that as well.

They do that with mobile phones and iPods.

You think finally I got the new [Insert Crappy Name Here] then you say look I finally got the new one, then a bout 1 week later, another new upgrade is made...and it's twice the price you paid for the last even though the last was expensive anyway! :x

The modern world...constantly evolving...even though the new technology now is getting more pointless and pointless, and gadgets get smaller & smaller.

Personally, I can't stand this newfangled "iron horse," the so-called locomotive. It's loud, it shakes, and it belches out monstrous clouds of black smoke. It is destroying the landscape of America. 20 years ago, one could have walked from Ohio to the Louisiana territory without ever seeing sunshine peek through the treetops. Now, that same country is crisscrossed by railroad tracks. I intend to mount my horse and ride to Washington and ask President Jackson to do something about this catastrophe.

The darn things don't even go that fast. Give me a good horse any day over one of those contraptions.

The other big thing that pisses me off about technology is that it's nowhere near where I want it to be. Where the hell is my fully-immersive VR? Where's my flying car? Where's my smart clothing? Where's my nanobot surgeon?
I want it now! I demand instant gratification. Feed me now, burgerlords!

Bendy buses and hybrid double deckers. They are both, very ugly. Save the Routemaster!

Ding! Ding!

We should move to the Wrong Planet Planet, I'm sure it has some cool stuff there!

I hate how you have to pay a fortune to get a decent internet connection, and that you have to pay an arm and a leg for the good stuff!!

Time saving gadgets with incomprehensible instructions.

The new widescreen TVs and the letterbox format on TV.

Electrical gadgets being expensive but only made to last 2-5 years and being too expensive to fix (if you can find someone even willing to do so) so then you have to buy a new one.

I hate cars that talk to me, thinking they are smarter than me.

I hate how it has been scientifically tested during production to break in your face in the most inconvenient way.
