I figured since we have one for airplane passengers I figured I'd make one for bus passengers. I commute by bus a lot and I believe in bus etiquette and I have certain annoyances.

-senior citizens who push through the line because they feel like they have the right to board first, I would of let you board anyway but you don't have to push
-people who insist on being first in line and they pay with big money like bills or a lot of coins (let people with bus passes on first, it makes the line go faster and other people don't have to wait outside freezing in the winter while you figure out how much money you have)
-people who don't stand up and let senior citizens or people with disabilities sit in the front priority seating
-teenagers who insist on being really loud and obnoxious on the bus by talking in loud voices, swearing, laughing and saying rude things
-people who put their bag beside them when there's already not enough room for others to sit down...I can see if you have 4 bags but if you only have one bag then you can put it on your lap
-when the bus is over-crowded and people who push to get the free seat even though you've been on the bus longer than them
-when somebody with nothing on their back or isn't carrying anything insists on sitting in a free seat when other people carrying heavy things are standing up
-when you're just about to sit in a free seat but a girl behind you raises her voice and asks if she can sit there to the person leaving before you can sit down
-people who drink on the bus
-creepy people who sit beside you and wont leave you alone
-people who smoke in the bus shelter
-people who smash the bus shelter, especially in the winter
-people who talk to the bus driver or keep asking questions which delays departure (it's okay to ask questions but not when it's taking more than 10 minutes)
-people who eat something that smells strong like salad with salad dressing or McDonald's, etc.
-letting your children run around and scream

Anyway, I could go on and on but these are just some examples.

I am guilty of:
- people who drink on the bus(not much I don't get all vulgar or anything but I've had alcohol on the bus).
-people who smoke in the bus shelter....sometimes it's windy and the shelter blocks it, though typically most everyone else is smoking to. I do however try not to if its apparent there are non smokers using the bus shelter.
-maybe smashing the bus shelter...I have never broken one but I have punched them out of frustration.
Other then that I tend to agree.

Bus drivers who kick people off the bus for no reason.

{That happened to me one time; that pissed me off so much I wanted to file a complaint.}

Grumpy bus drivers who act like jerks especially the GO bus drivers here in Ontario or greyhound bus drivers, some of them act like they're Gods. I mean some of them are really nice but I've seen a lot of nasty bus drivers as well.

Don't take a bus here in Portland...I mean a portion of bus drivers here in the Rose City are nice people, but many on the other hand are downright awful.

No one has mentioned people who sit on the outside seat of 2 seats when no one is sitting on the inside seat. I do that. Only cause i don't like having random strangers coming and sitting down next to me, then they have to move out the way so I can get out when it's time for me to get off.

If there's anything I don't like, it's when bus drivers look at you expecting you to say how much you're paying or what ticket you want. I don't really like having to talk, especially when I can't hear them because I have my music on.

I also don't like it when the bus comes late, but the driver drives slow anyway, so I end up arriving where I want to be later. It annoys me so much, a waste of my time.

I'd only think of it as rude if the bus was completely packed.

What I do when the bus gets full and someone asks me to move a long a seat so they can sit down is I just get out the seat and stand, because usually I have to get off at the next stop anyway.

I'm like the annoying occasional inside seat to outside to inside to outside hopper to prevent weird people sitting next to me, I'm sure I'm already having a bad reputation for that.

I'm surprised people haven't gone apeshit to me there yet. xD

I haven't been on a bus for a while.

It used to be packs of teens who talk too loud and too much. You almost feel obligated to hit them as a courtesy to the other passengers.
I'm sure I'll be sent to hell, but handicap people that require the bus to be lowered for them to enter. It seems that everytime I needed to be somewhere at a certain time that someone would require that and it would take 10-15 minutes.
Also, women that end up sitting in your lap. I don't mind usually, but it can begin to feel like you're sardines packed into a tight space, and I like my space.

How are they supposed to give you a ticket otherwise? They're not telepathic.

If you don't want to talk, have it written down and hand it to them.

I am usually glad for the handicap people, because I am running to catch the bus about to leave and they have to take another 5 minutes to get the wheelchair on which gives me time to get to the stop and not miss the bus. I remember this happened to me and my brother when we where trying to get to a concert, we where quite glad but figured they might be offended if we mentioned it.....

People who wait with you on a light rail platform {if there is such a system in your city}
and smell like cigarette smoke, like they have never taken a shower, like they have never worn
deodorant, or a combination of the three just mentioned.

Since I really don't get the bus (Unless it's late in the afternoon).

Most annoying type of passengers for me (Being on a train) -

-Idiots who think that the front car is a designated tagger zone. I get in the front car because it's generally quiet...
-Idiots that tag trains period - You know who you are...
-Idiots that underage that seem to think it's cool to smoke and drink in a train, which has no ventilation.
