What does your voice sound like?

Probably like the biggest hick you have ever heard, although I'm not a hick I just live in Hicksville. When we lived in Birmingham I had an accent but not quite as bad. Now that we are down here, oh boy has my accent gotten worse! I've talked to three people from here on the phone, Mindsigh, League Girl and MjrMajorMajor and they can all tell you how bad my accent is. I'm also anything but monotone. I'm pretty animated, at times going entirely overboard in inflection and tone. I tend to add syllables and just draw words out reallllllllyyyyyyyy long. It's probably difficult for people who don't live in the South but live in the US to understand me, but I bet it's damn near impossible for somebody who lives overseas. I've talked to a Canadian on the phone before and was understood but got a lot of jokes about my accent (I made some right back though - Out and about in a boat all sounds like the same word ) but I haven't talked to anybody from Mexico so I don't know if they could understand me. If you want to go further South, Ole Boy is from Central America and lived there till he was about 10 or so but you can't tell it to hear him talk. He even speaks Spanish with a Southern accent. You can ask Mindsigh, she talked to him on the phone. He kind of sounds like he's almost got a Louisiana genteel accent. Not quite though. But it's more upper class Southern than mine is. He also talks a lot slower than me.

Monotonous, hoarse.

Most people have trouble hearing me when I talk if there are loud noises close to me as it tends to drown out my voice.

I often sound like someone who drinks too much caffeine and is hyper.

I sound like a slightly dorky combo of bill gates and lee marvin.

anyways, wish I could figure out how to put my voice on here, assuming anybody would deign to listen to it.

I have a low, monotone voice. Sometimes it sounds like I am mumbling.
I have to remember to enunciate when talking to others.

Oh, I forgot to mention that. No matter how much effort I make to enunciate clearly, my voice always sounds like a lazy mumble, or like I’m talking under my breath. I’ve actually tried recording myself, forcing my mouth as wide open as I could, and speaking slowly and loudly, focusing my mind on every movement of my tonge and jaws, to no avail—the recording still came off just about as muddy and poorly articulated as always. I ended up under the impression that my lower jaw could be torn off and I’d still sound like there’s some obstruction in my mouth.

if you are referring to my post (i.e what i said in the video), then i suspect you may think i was boasting about my financial situation with respect to my comment that "i will have to buy the property because i like the look of one of the clouds in the sky above it".
i was joking. i have a very deadpan sense of humor, and i thought it would be an insane reason to buy a property simply based on a cloud in the sky above it at the time of inspection (as if that cloud would always remain unchanged in the sky above the property), so i pretended that i thought that way in order to make other people (a small audience for who this video was intended who know already my sense of "humour") think "you can't be serious".

considering that you are an audiophile, then it would be no problem for you to record your voice to an *.mp3 file and then host that file on a sound file site like "soundclick" or "soundcloud", and then post the link to that file here.

why do you use the word "deign"? you seem very articulate and also imaginative (that fuels your articulation) and if i saw a link posted by you to the sound of your voice i would definitely listen with interest to it.

i am not super rich and i can not buy whatever i want simply because it takes my fancy. i did not mean to sound affluent. i meant to seem stupid with a voice that does not sound stupid, and therefore create a dichotomy of possible interpretations.

when you use the word "deign", it seems to indicate that you may have a lack of self esteem.

i would not only listen once to your voice. i would listen to it many times until i was used to it.

you should try to record your voice and post it here because i would be interested to hear it.

i accidentally posted this message before i was finished transcribing it but i guess you get the idea that i talk in a very self absorbed way that does not make sense to many other people.

I usually sound pretty mellow, and my voice is kind of low for a girl. I do have varying tones, so it usually doesn't show that I'm an Aspie right away.

My voice sounds Mickish.

I find that I have a very unique sounding voice. I have a bit of a lisp from my tongue being a bit big from my mouth. I actually can't stand to hear my voice recorded.
