will the gop learn anything from this race? only how to play rougher and dirtier next time. will they make nice with latinos and the "47%"? no, they are going to double down on trickle down and trickle down on the latinos via "voluntary deportation."
What they will learn (I hope) is that the age of the wealthy white male slave-owner mentality is rapidly drawing to a close.
They can't keep pandering to wealthy white right-wing conservatives and expect the rest of the country to like them.Interesting - someone on the news here this evening made pretty much the same observation: that Romney and Co. represent the angry, evangelical white men of America - but that's no longer America. The difference being, Obama knows this full well.
Obviously, you weren't watching Fox News.
Truth be told, I've seen this coming since Bush/Cheney stole the election back in 2000 (and maybe even 2004). It seems to have been the turning point in how voters view their leaders, and may have contributed to the election of a president who is about as different from Bush as a man can get!
The tighter the GOP adheres to its traditional values, the more likely the GOP will continue to lose credibility with an informed and educated public.
