I've never liked gimmicky Xmas presents - y'know.. little puzzles and so forth, which serve no purpose and will get shoved in a drawer for the remaining 363 days of the year.

Generally I am lucky enough to receive very nice gifts. I'm always a bit nervous about anything new, but after a week or so I'll know whether I'm really happy with something or not. Usually I am. Most of my friends know that I like to take things away and think about them before I really express my thanks properly. I find it hard to lie and say I'm really pleased with something when it's new and i don't know anything about it.

Obsessions of all sorts.

I've never had a worst or bad present.

Cherry Chocolates

The worst for me has been chocolate I don't like or socks that I'd never wear, as they have no real purpose then, but I can't just throw them away because I'd feel bad about it.

My mum used to give me some really awful sweaters at Christmas.

This years though was pretty awsome

7 pairs of pastel coloured nylon bloomers with the days of the week on them (from my grandmother)

A snowball to the face.

School supplies. I think I was 18 at the time. Wasn't from my parents. Stuff like pens and pencils. I would have preferred they donated the money to charity, then at least somebody would have been happy.

For Christmas I got Lavener soap from my grandparents on my dad's side of the family.
I HATE THAT SOAP! The smell of it is not natural Lavendar and it's all artficial. I use hemp soap
and goat milk soap. I'm a nature girl. I get pedicure sets from them. The best thing i ever got from them was a Beatles CD but I still hated it because it was "The Beatles in Holland" when the band had a substiute drummer for Ringo. I can't watch or listen to The Beatles with another drummer. nope.nope. But those grand parents don't know me that well. they hav'nt seen me since I was 12.

A lump of coal.

Sadly, every gift that was not from my parents was a bad gift... For a while my mom had to tell people to just send money or to not give me gifts at all.

I collect Lion King merchindise from the original 1994 release ONLY. When it was released in imax and DVD Di$ney released a whole bunch of new Lion King merchindise. When I said I wanted Lion King stuff for X mas people rushed in and got me the cheapest newer released merchidise they could find.

My school teacher got the class a huge box of cheap crayons (hoping to end the problem of "I don't have any crayons!). I was very pituclar as a kid about what brand of crayons I used. If it was not crayola, forget it. These did not even lay down any color at all. When the teacher asked me how come I wasn't colloring I replied, "I don't have any crayons." She said, "What about the ones I gave everybody for Christmas." I lied and said I had lost them (I think I did end up throwing them in the trash or taking them home and melting them down for wax) .

Sweaters of any kind

Someone once gave me a fur coat at the age of 4 (Yes I think it was real! Guess they did not know I would grow up to be one of the world biggest Peta adovates.)

Lotion, make up, soap, shampoo, perfume (most of it is tested on animals)
