Where I live we've just got rain, rain and more rain, along with mild temperatures and a bit blustery. I am not complaining - I am so happy! It's Christmas day tomorrow and it's going to pour with rain all day long. I'm happy. :D

Anyone want to trade places? I live in a place called South Texas that's bereft of snow and has God-awfu- I mean lovely summers that last 8 months and are so nice and warm they melt your brain right out of your skull.

I saw a lot of snow ten years ago due to a Siberian cold wave. I was on the road when started to snow. I thank "bah, it will be rain in two minutes". Wrong, half an hour later (! !!) the landscape seemed... well, Siberia. I had to leave the car in the highway, in the wee hours, in the middle of nowhere. All the roads were blocked so I spent two days in the indoor pool of a town. When people ask me if I like snow, I usually answer "I still feel overdosed".

Hello.

From the title I thought the OP was excited about the snowy season. But I realize she is rather annoyed by that.

I used to live in a region where we had only one or two snowy days a year, or none at all some years. So, snow felt rather special and exciting for many of us. But, as we were not so used to snow like people in the north are, snow could cause a huge chaos in the city, affecting buses and trains, people slipping, falling and getting injured or even dying. I liked the snow-covered city scenery, which only lasted a day or so, because it was so different from its usual boring sight.

Now I live in a area where we have no snow even in the middle of winter. Winter is just a rainy season. I miss snow, but I guess I would hate to have to go to work on a snowy day.

It's now very hot outside, above 40 degrees.

I wish that I would get more than just 3 centimeters of snow.

Snow again on 14/01/2013 in the UK. Worst thing about snow is the snow balls.

be a better person and refrain from punching the little kid in the face. :x
