Oh. When I saw the title to this thread, I was going to tell you guys all about this set of vintage 1950's serving platters I have that are designed to look like they're made out of lettuce leaves, but I guess I was being too literal. Bummer. lol

That was the first thing I thought of too. I had a Homer Laughlin rice bowl from a used restaurant china store here called BB's that had a little yin/yang symbol in the bottom of it. Fiestaware is always nice.

But as far as eating, I love salmon prepared nearly any way possible,
caramel cake,
Heath toffee bars,
my own recipe of some kind of spicy soup that may be jambalaya--I'm not sure what's in jambalaya,
Captain D's fried fish
Ziegler's smoked sausage (a local brand)
Golden Flake Maizetos (a local brand of tortilla chips)
Stir-fried broccoli, carrots, shrimp, onions and garlic with turmeric, soy sauce, olive oil, a tbsp. of flour, a pinch of cayenne pepper.
Fried chicken
Hummus dip
olives
green beans
corn any way but creamed
spinach
mushrooms sautéed in butter with garlic and fresh-ground pepper
Potato flavored potato chips
I should start naming some of these things cooking experiments that turn out good so I can just call it by name instead of ingredient list.

Any cuisine from countries near the equator--I love Mexican, Indian, and Brazilian food.

I like those Russian deep-fat-fried things with beef and cheddar cheese in them.
