I got my MA in 1991 and my Legal Office Systems degree in 2004. It sounds backward, but I did the legal studies because I was looking for a different career path. I thought Legal Studies was a good way to use my research skills. I never did work in a legal office. I found that I really love working at the library and want to pursue that further.

I have a bachelor's in Speech Pathology and English---taken as a double major. I also minored in Education, and was a student-teaching stint away from having a "triple-major." I got the degree when I was 45, in 2006, even though I finished in 2005.

I've taken Master's courses in speech pathology and social work.

I have a BA in History which I received in 2010. I'm now in the latter stages of a Masters degree in Archives & Records Management. If all goes to plan, I'll graduate next summer.

I graduated from Oxford University in 1980 with a 1st Class degree in 'Literae Humaniores' (Latin and Ancient Greek Literature and History). I never attended the degree ceremony because I really didn't give a stuff about the whole business at the time.

I subsequently worked in the education field for a considerable period of time, and I've concluded that the whole thing has become more and more of a racket over the years.

Then again, I am a pretty cynical sod....

Blimey! I didn't know that we had a Oxbridge grad on here. You weren't a member of the Bullingdon club by any chance?

I can understand why you did it. I don't regret my BA but being a writer or a researcher isn't going to be plausible until build those skill or prove myself in those fields.

I'm already considering getting some education in something more lucrative. Currently I work at a Call Center. That's not what I wanted when I got out of college.

I got a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from K-State in December 2015. Not that it's helped me any in finding a job yet...
