Would the same apply if you called yourself a Scottish nationalist and not a unionist? ;)

If I'm being honest: I did assume you were pro-Union or at least pro-status quo. Am I wrong?

First you're going to have to explain to me what you mean by pro-union, i'm not too sure precisely what that means.

And I haven't been mentioned once. I'm English - was born here. Parents - were born in England. Grandparents - born in England. My great-grandfather (in this case, paternal grandmother's father) was from Sligo, Ireland.

That you either actively advocate the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or would otherwise prefer that the aforementioned United Kingdom remain.

Ah, sorry, politics etc tend to confuse me, anyway, while i think that splitting up the UK (specifically, Scotland being independent) sounds good in theory, i'm sceptical that it would work in reality, that would make me pro-status quo then.

I think he's pro-nationalist, actually.

To put it bluntly:

Nationalist people think of themselves as English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish = usually involves seperating from the UK
Unionist people that think of themselves as primarily British = retaining the UK

For the first few months of being here I thought Cockney was from England.
