No. Never. And I certainly never will.
I don't know how smoking can be seen as cool. It stinks, it pollutes the air, and it can do a lot of damage to your body.
If I ever encountered somebody who was trying to pressurise me into smoking, I'd walk away. I'd much rather be 'chicken.'

I used to smoke some years back, but only for a short while. It's a horrible habit and I hope I never go back to it.

Never. I wouldn't know how if I was to try it.

People don't believe me when I tell them I haven't.

No, I can't afford to become addicted to those cancer sticks.

Absolutely not, and I don't plan to either. It is a nasty habit to get into.

I think the 1940s was probably the decade where cigarettes were the most popular.

Close, but actually the 1950s was the hight of popularity for cigarettes. Thanks to TV ads for them.

I'll probably be smoking until the day I die, and very happily.

Edit: To any of you who have not yet picked up a cigarette, Don't. It's expensive, nasty, unhealthy, stinky, rude, monotonous, and time consuming. :)

I have smoked several cigarettes in the past, but thankfully I had the sense to stop before I got addicted.
Had to run, to get something, and boy was I unfit, that was a wake up call for me.
My heart had never pounded so hard in my life.

I did, however several years later after refusing to have another nicotine filled cigarette, decide to chain smoke a few herbal cigarettes (No Nicotine, Tobacco etc)
However did so without inhaling, and after that, I have refused to pick up another cigarette, and I advise people to never to smoke cigarettes, for the sake of your own health, and those around you.

I hate smoking so much with a passion, and when somebody lights up in front of me, (Paticularly in a cramped narrow space) I feel like screaming, and strangling them.

However I'd be open to trying smoking cigars, providing it was only once.

If cigars count, I smoked one several months back to celebrate my half brother's birth, and actually rather enjoyed it. Then shortly afterwards I shared one with my older stepbrother when he came down to visit, and ended up smoking probably 3/4s of it.

It's taken a lot of willpower for me not to go out and buy my own, because I know damn well that I enjoy them too much for my own good, and that I don't want to end up with lung cancer or emphysema. ;) It's rather strange that I enjoyed smoking them though, since I can't stand cigarette smoke. For some reason though, the smell of leftover cigarette smoke (not in the air, but like clinging to objects) is somewhat reassuring to me, as it reminds me of visiting my cousins growing up.

I can't see myself smoking "real" cigars or cigarettes any time in the near future, but the calming effects of nicotine interest me enough that I'm considering getting an e-cig. I know, I'd be better off not using nicotine at all, but at least that way I would be doing it in such a way that no one has to breathe in secondhand smoke. :P

Don't flame me, I'm just being honest here.

No, although pretty much 90% of my family do. My Mum is gonna try Electronic Cigarettes soon though, so shes gonna try giving up!
I don't think a single person in my family has given up before.

Nope. I don't mind the smell of it, but don't want to kill myself.

Weird you say that.

Used to love the smell, when I was younger, now that I'm older, it makes me want to jump out a high rise window.
