I've never been much of a soda person, but if I had to choose, I guess Sprite would have to be my favorite.

I pick Coke from this list as long as it's not cherry coke, diet coke or some other non regular coke. I really like Barqs root-beer too thou

I could never remember, but when you buy food at certain fast food joints, you only have your choice of Pepsi, Coke or clear soda. I can't remember what is offered at Jack In The Box, KFC, McDonald's, Popeye's, Taco Bell, Burger King and Wendy's. I just say, "give me what you have in a medium."

JitB, McD's, Popeye's, BK and Wendy's have Coke; the others you mentioned serve Pepsi.

I ask for coke because it seems like the majority of places have it. They say they offer pepsi if they don't have coke & I go for that. If it's a place where I pour my own drink I may go with Dr Pepper or Barqs root-beer instead of coke depending on what they have.

see, water is a choice in all of the places, and they virtually all have a free option, you just have to keep refilling it.

The restaurants have it for free but the fast-food places like McDonalds sell bottled water instead that is more expensive than the fountain drinks. Plus I rather drink caffeine when eating out. When I lived in Louisiana we went the McDonalds a few days after hurricane Isaac & they didn't have fountain drinks because there were questions about water safety in that parish(Louisiana word for county) & apparently they need water for the fountain drinks. We paid more not just because we were getting bottled water, but because we were getting bottled water instead of a fountain drink we weren't getting a meal deal :x They should of gave the meal deal & just charged the difference for getting bottled water.

must be different in your state then, here (California) since all fountain machines have clean water in them in order to make the soda anyway and it is the syrup that actually adds to the cost (plus the cup for inventory purpose) they just give you one tiny cup and you go to the fountain and press "water" and get a cup of cold water to drink for free (it is smaller than what they sell as a small, usually the size they give to children as a drink)

after a major earthquake or whatever during emergency I would not be eating in fast food anyway - I would eat at home and use my own filtered water.

Dont care, but There's a drink in Brazil called Guarana by Antartica I love that drink don't understand why its not everywhere, I've tried other brands of Guarana but Antartica is the best, right amount of fizz and it always tastes crisp.
