How so? I'm not encouraging him not to go to college - I think it would probably be a wonderful experince - and he still has several years to think about it. I'm simply saying that most jobs require you to meet with at least one person. I think it's good that he's applying for jobs, especially when he doesn't have to. I did not intend to discourage him from applying for a job. I apologize if my post was offensive; it was certainly not meant it be.

You know, when you want to get paid you will probably have to suck up to your boss and do as they say. You gotta give to get, am I right? Ah well, it seems that you don't exactly need a new PC since you are online everyday

I dont know you, so this may or may not be completely unsuitable, but anyway...

download the tv series 'the real hustle' there are loads of ideas there, many of which would be legal or quasi-legal. Im thinking of 'proposition bets' (in the middle of each show IIRC) which would require you to approach people in suitably public places and engage them in friendly banter, then politely playfully trick them out of some money. If performed correctly the 'victims' will take it in good humour. (after all youve just taught them a great trick for $10).

Could also be a great confidence and social-rapport booster - take note everyone!

You don't 'need' gaming. Gaming is not essential to life <.<

My laptop has a game or two, but I seldomly play. I use it for art, powerpoints, essay writing and communication.

Obsessions can be broken or replaced, or at least in my case it worked that way. Then again I kinda learned to live frugally x:

True but from a therapeutic cost stand point a computer might be far more cost effective.

Celeron 2.4.
256 megs DDR.
GeForce 4 PCI (don't know which model)

I want this:

E4300 or E6400 Core 2 Duo.
2GB DDR2 800 Corsair RAM.
8800GTS or X2900XT.
A 650i or 965P mobo for ocing.
