Krabo, you are mistaken. It's a cat. It even has a label on it. I'm concerned about the safety of that person in blue. I hope he/she escaped safely.

Should it have been "Κράμπο"?

I don't think that was quite what he had in mind.

Here's a short article that agrees with jk1 about the fluffy caterpillars:

This looks like the green version of the brown/orange caterpillar that you posted in the first page. Even that bluish dots are the same. Do you know what it's called? I'd love to have one.

^ Here's the caption that came with that one jk1:

This tiny Spicebush Swallowtail caterpillar aims to scare off predators by pretending to be a dangerous snake with huge eyes.

The only trouble is, it looks far too pretty to be a threat to any critter as it waits to hatch into an elegant butterfly in Maine, USA.

And another picture for you:

For some reason I read, (and sometimes respond) to threads in the 'Off Topic Discussion' - 'Random Discussion' Forum that have received 30 to 40 replies (such as this thread as of this post); that is threads receiving a range of 30 to 40 replies are rare in this Forum. Most threads are either less than 30 replies, or far more than 40 replies. Quite the extreme range.

After about 40 replies, discussion threads are usually best ended, and left to curiosity, and in some instances a novel means to gauge and infer the pulse of.....WrongPlanet.net!

Caterpie is my fave caterpillar. Yeah, I know it's not real, but it's just so cute!

ADDENDUM: Wanted to 'bump-up' this discussion thread and ask, "has anybody considered responding to topics in 'Off Topic Discussion' - 'Random Discussion' Forum receiving between 30 to 40 posts?"

As said in above, topics receiving 30 to 40 responses appears to be a "barometer of sorts" of topics that receive "just the right amount of attention" "not too little, not too much" (as some discussion threads have responses in the thousands).

Are 30 to 40 responses a reasonable indicator?
