i wonder how the texture is, seems like quite a bit of orange!
i think we'd need friggin gene splicing to pull of an applange (completely different order)...maybe someday. :idea:

in the meantime these pineberries have an interesting look, i gotta lay off the raisins and get me one of these soon:

looks like a plant the greensman coulda used on the original star trek to lend it more verisimilitude. IOW it really looks alien :alien:

those are for real?

those images do look a bit doctored. yes, they are real, yet hybrid fruits. (though not very profitable it seems)
they are: "a hybrid of Fragaria chiloensis, originating in South America, and Fragaria virginiana, originating in North America."
with apparently a slight pineapple flavor.
