Some Polish words about cats:

Mruczando - tomcat (one of the women from Polish AS forum wrote about this word, she may be the "inventor" of it)
miaumaszyna ("machine to meowing") - a cat (rather my neologism)
mruczenica - she-cat; mruczeniec - tomcat (both are rather very rare)
sierściuch (sierść - animal hair, fur) - pejorative or humorous colloquialism for a cat (dimunitive: sierściuszek)

almost every cat I've had, has been named "cat." except for the last one that was palmed off on us by a german neighbor, it was named "mushi" and we took it because we didn't want for it to go to the pound and get destroyed. some cat, it puked all over our place and shed fur like nobody's business. the worm and hair medicine didn't seem to do any good.

My cat made me laugh yesterday, I decided to vacuum and launder his bed at the foot of my bed which I duly did. However, it takes a couple of days to dry thoroughly in the boiler room so I took his other bed from the living room chair to tide him over until then.

He spent last night sleeping beside the temporary bed at the foot of my bed and refused to get in it to sleep.

So he doesn't like the chair bed being used as a bed bed. Currently he is in the chair bed back in its usual place.

Aspie alright! :D

I can be "excited-like" due to seeing a nice purrie. Cats are so cute :) I do not have a cat in home.

They're a lot like us, although i love all animals, they're the easier to care for and more independent, less trouble. and it's a sensory thing to pet their silky fur. i have a feral cat living in my house, had a persian and another one, kinda half feral, not sure...

they're very cuddly. i definitely love them with all my heart. where i live, we have a huge amount of feral cats jumping from garbage cans. mine's a rescue.

me too
had a huge black cat that was really wild, acted like a tiger, and tried murdering the vet at every oppurtunity.

I wonder if the vet didn't know about the rubber bands around the ears trick.

I have had both cats and dogs, and I prefer cats. Cats are kinda like me. Feed me, pay some attention to me every now and then and I and they are fine.

In my place of living many purries die on the roads :( Why they are killed so often by cars? Many meowers of my grandmother died in this way.

^ that's always a worry of mine.

I knew someone who used to put his cat out while he went to work and he would say to it "Go on out and play with the cars and lorries until I come home." 8O His attempt at humour bypassed me.

I noticed that purries are frequently found in avatars in forums about AS(D). Are cats this group of animals wich tend to be especially liked by people "on the spectrum"? Other animals can be also liked by people with ASD, but purries may appear to be the most popular animals.
