I envy people who can post anything on Facebook and will always automatically receive 10 likes and 20 comments, whether their post is stupid, mundane, interesting, bragging, bitchy, attention-seeking, etc.

I envy people who are popular and everybody loves and they know just what to say in every social situation and are the life and soul of the group

I envy people who work full time and don't get depressed or overwhelmed, might sometimes get fed up but can shrug it off and carry on, without having a panic attack

I envy people who can work in a busy environment with customers all day and love chatting with them and are good at selling, and don't have shyness or social anxiety holding them back

I envy people who have a lot of friends to invite to their wedding

I envy people who seem to have everybody's mobile numbers, even those who they hardly ever talk to

I envy people who can just make friends within 2 seconds of meeting them

I envy people who have had lot of friends and sleepovers as a child and teen, instead of having memories of being lonely

I even envy quieter people who still have some friends who want to be with them

I envy people who are intelligent, can memorize all sorts of facts and other useful stuff, and can focus on their interests (yes, that is most Aspies. I can't even do that)

I envy Aspies who still seem to be accepted and have a group of friends that want to be with them

All of the above is why I am on 50mg of antidepressants.

I am reminded of the Frieda Kahlo quote about how she tried to drown her sorrows, but then the damned things learned how to swim.

Most of the time I don't envy people but when I do its because others have closer friendships with people than I do. I used to be envious of seeing groups of people hanging out in town when I was a teen.

I mean, I struggle to communicate my ideas to people and understand people, but aside, I don't envy people as much. You just need to be content with what you have.

when I didn't have a pot to pee in nor a window to throw it out of, I was plenty envious of all the smug comfortable middle-classers I saw all around me avoiding me like the plague.

ummm.. :? does that mean you have lots of vanity or little?

Lots I'm afraid, but it's in a funny deep seated way. Spent much of my youth deliberately dressing like s**t, stinking, constant melt downs, drink and drugs.

There's no need at all for me to dress up, and rarely do it, but enjoy it when I do. Not deluded about how good looking I am or not, avoid gyms like the plague, don't need to be admired.

Just read the thread through - that thing of leaving works of art lying about for people to find is excellent, wonderful and I love it.

I went through a period like that where I just let it all hang out and didn't give a good gad darn about anything.

If you want, you should check out the facebook page: Art Abandonment

If you click this "Mail Call" you should be able to see all the responses people leave after finding something, and it's just... we need more of that :) (I don't know if you have to join the group to see that, but it's a public group so it should work)

Also, I think I might envy people who are good at real trolling... I'm merely mediocre at it if I try :(

That's a good way to put it... I was thinking along the lines of a bloated and beached sea cow trying to do ballet. Lol.
Before my body decided to go kaput, I could have been good at it I think. Stupid body. At least I can still watch them ^.^

I picked the second option, my life is not perfect but I accept who I am.

My life is far from perfect but I don't wish I had things cuz others have em. However I would feel envious of whoever Miranda Cosgrove dates

I eventually learned this, and I sincerely hope I can impart this bit o' wisdom onto yourself as well, that our bodies do the best they can for us, but it takes two to tango. I learned this too late in life.
