I like well-spoken, articulate people from all areas, and detest sloppy, careless speech.

I love English and Scottish accents, although I have to say I am more a fan of the "upper English" accent than the lower ones...and I enjoy Ewan McGregor's accent more than, say, Sean Connery. I dunno what it is, really. :)

And I love to hear Australians talk! If I got to pick an accent, I would choose Australian first, and then tie between English and Scottish. Australians always just sound so happy.

Londo Molari's accent on Babylon 5. Peter Jurasik invented that accent for the show.

I absolutely adore Irish/Scottish accents. Sometimes I watch the English version of Hellsing just to hear Alexander Anderson talk because of his accent. Also, sometimes I watch The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson just to hear Craig Ferguson talk because of his accent.

The quazi Betazoid accent of Deanna Troi ( in the first year, especially)

Quote:
Troi's accent was also a changeable feature of the character. Originally, Sirtis - who in real life speaks with an English accent - created an exotic-sounding, almost Slavic accent for the character, which she has described as being based on the accent of an Israeli friend. Her efforts at creating a sound for citizens of Betazed were for naught when actors using American accents began playing other Betazoids. Over the course of the series, Troi's accent was gradually toned down to the point that, by the TNG theatrical films, it was a regular mid-Atlantic accent.

My favorite hands down is Caribbean. It's so musical.

In Hawaii a lot of locals speak a form of pidgin that is horrendous. It has nothing to do with the Hawaiian language, which is also a beautiful language.

This is a pretty good example of a Hawaiian chant (he's giving thanks to a bunch of things, other than that I don't know enough Hawaiian to translate it):

Oh my god, I love the British/Australian/Kiwi accent.

Someone with those accents could cuss me out two ways til Tuesday and it would be the coolest thing ever.

I have always loved the Bristish accent. So much so that I have even thought about moving to England. Seriously.

Ah, the Newfie accent! I really like that one too. It's so cute and soft :) They're the ones who say "aboot" and all that.

I like any accents...I think it's the exotic nature of it or something...I can find them quite mesmerising.

Don't care much for the full on Australian accent myself unless you are in the country areas then they are mandatory! You definitely get different accents here though and it depends on where you are from and how many generations you have been here too. I love it when I see people of asian descent in our country and they can sometimes have the broadest accent of all...it's really cute and I love that mix of everything here.

PS....Freshly caught crab on a bbq is superb....slightly crack their shells first so they are easy to open when cooked.....

I like specific accents like Kate Bush's I'm supposing Kent accent. I like the accents in the Harry Potter movies. Also adore Dr. Ruth's German accent and Jane Wiedlin's Oconomowoc accent. Brooklyn Jewish accents are highly enjoyable for me to listen to especially when they throw in a Yiddish cuss word ever so often.

I like my own accent. :) Very English, but perhaps a little too 'posh' for my liking, as it stands out in a town full of relocated Londoners.

I've been compared to those announcers on the BBC from around the 1940s/50s, which suggests I sound rather significantly older than I actually am.

Yet to encounter an especially broad range of accents in the female species, but Scottish is nice.
